Hollywoods somewhere between left and far left.

Even moderates and left leaning are WTH.

How do you mess up Star Wars so bad lol. And Trek they've always been progressive but not so in your face a out it at the expense if good storytelling.

Having more women and minorities in movies than they used to makes them liberal at most, although I suspect it has as much to do with trying to reach a wider audience as politics.
Hollywood is hardly known for its searing indictments of capitalism.

That's because I think people view left and right a bit to much as rich vs poor.

Roughly 30% poor will vote right and a similar % of rich people will vote left.

They ham fisted and show horned diversity into their movies. I suspect Star Wars will decline and without the Avengers the MCU will also decline.

I'm not so sure that holds. The Big Short and The Wolf of Wall Street are relatively recent examples that come to mind. Capitalism may not be Hollywood's major focus but it is on their radar.

Neither is an indictment of capitalism as such.

Couple of points: being against Trump isn't 'left'. That would depend on the arguments being used to counter Trump's poison.

Hollywood is hard to quantify. Movie stars are all about their fancy mansions and high self-worth. And the media that discusses celebrity also glorifies these aspects of the trappings of wealth

They aren't advocating socialism or communism but they are examples of capitalism gone wrong.

Exactly. Both portray their subjects as deviant from the "proper" logic of capitalism. They are offering a critique of existing society to be sure, but it's more along the lines of the "crony capitalism" concept, implying that "proper capitalism" is fine, it's deviations ("cronyism") from the 'pure' model of capitalism that are the problem.

Celebrity culture in the US is a cancer as far as left-wing politics is concerned.

Did you bother to read their methodology?

What, missing Cronkite or something? All the little different news shardboys will probably be happy to chirp up about how awful that was.
Spoiler :

:mischief:

I don't believe there is anything like an objectively "unbiased" opinion, because there are usually two components in what determines your political opinion:
- Your perception of reality, which depends on your personal factual experience
- The direction in which you want the society to head to, which depends on your political ideas

The thing is that the perception of reality can vary A LOT for one to another. As such, what would be considered like a reasonable, unbiased, perception of reality by some, will be considered as radical extremism by others.

Should we shut down all the garbage smashers on the detention level?

More Walls Closing In, Bombshells, Beginning of the end, etc.

The media is indeed biased.

Biased towards corporations, towards capitalism, towards the status quo, towards the right. The media continues the fallacy of both sides, it is unable, on a genetic level, to even consider the possibility that one side could be worse than the other.

This is why we have seemingly absurd but harmless things on the left being compared to the utter insanity, death and destruction on the right.

Can you quantify those statements or are they just your opinion?

Can you quantify those statements or are they just your opinion?

As an example, look at the media response to Bernie Sanders' comments about the Washington post and how the mainstream media (yes including the supposedly left-wing CNN) drew an equivalence between those comments and Trump's attacks on the media at large.

Small sample size bias. You have to look at the overall picture.

Can you quantify those statements or are they just your opinion?

The implication being that somehow the media isn't in the pocket, if not outright owned, by corporations?

Do you live in an alternate universe where they don't?

Do you live in an alternate universe in which the worst excesses of antifa are being compared to actual murderers on the far right?

You need to break the programming my friend and see that the system is stacked in favour of certain people, certain groups, certain ideologies.
