The first people to die in any kind of insurgency situation (aside from the actual combatants I suppose but they'd be a tiny fraction of the overall population) are the most vulnerable, the most dependent on complex services.

Probably only worse for non-college educated whites if we're honest. That's still a ton of people but still. There's tons and tons of jobs that simply weren't open to women or people of color back then.It might be better socially, but economically? It's worse.
