Medieval European Mod II 2016-10-05

1) I usually reach the last age with no trouble, and I never even tried a game with AP. What map and difficulty do you play on?

2) Navigation gives travel over high sea tiles, not Compass (it's a mistake if the pedia states otherwise)

3) In Snoopys terrain that's a bit true. I'm not sure there's anything we can do about it and still keep the terrain though.

Standerd. Emperor the usual. And how do you think its possible . All 3 games i almost run out of time not even or barely through Rennisance. AP i have no issue but..just stating.

There is certainly enough time in the 540 turn limit. Maybe you have Victory Point scoring on? That's a short game mode and indeed ends much earlier. If that's the case just choose "Default Rules" next time / turn off VP scoring.

EDIT: and yes, Navigation is the high seas-faring tech, the civilopedia is wrong on this one, sorry. I think I changed it back and forth before release and forgot to update it. If you have any thoughts on this let me know - 4th era just seemed too late to allow ocean-faring on random maps, but 3rd era was less accurate, thus the name "high seas" instead of "ocean".

The ridges were in the original Sn00py's pack and I personally removed them for WH2 mod long time ago cause they were ugly ;)

You might have made them less visible, but you didn't really remove them. :p

I think it looks good the way they are in MEM (and WH) so I don't think there would be any trouble using the new ridges, and then just make them less visible too.

Since I needed an excuse for reading up on my math before exams, here's something I've been toying around with.

The basic idea is to crop the normal map and use it as a base for a Mongol invasion of Europe. Hungary, Poland, Rus and Novgorod would be united, and have a team domination victory as a goal, while the Mongols would be in war with these.

I was thinking the playable nations should be Hungary, Poland, Novgorod and the Mongols. Not Rus since they should just be big and weak and die.

Looks really interesting, I can't wait to try out all these new scenarios you are making.:)

Did you consider adding in the Cumans/Kipchaks to fill the void in the southeast?

sorry, it looks really cool but it would have taken me over 24 hrs to download...

God what is your connection.

THis mod ismore amazing then I first thought and that says alot.
Its turn came around to go through my special mega giga map epic that I play exclusivly now since devoting months of money to eradicating turn times that come with territory
(cost me to go broke but now computer heats the whole house alone so saves me from natural gas bills this winter :) )

Even old pedia entries they could have reused were rewritten in some cases to match the middle age theme.
I notice there is no jungles though. This makes good for scenario file but crossed over to 'Random' and not so much.
I guess I get chop bonus for all those jungles? . Wish I realised that before I selected wet climate as my usual variable setup along with Huge map. ;)

ALso Someone should make a Sounds file with fresh middle age tracks for this mod. Mybe Sword Of G to shares his.

Maybe, it's still on idea stage.

The jungles have been turned to Woodland now, so playing on maps with lots of "jungle" isn't a problem. Woodland is a mix of open land and scattered forests, so it's pretty easy to cut down.

ED was working on a soundtrack, I'm not sure what the status on that is right now though. We are both having exams, so that takes up much of our time.

The Cumans did not have an independent state when the Mongols invaded, in 1241, though. They were allied with the Voivodates of Litovoi and Seneslau in Wallachia and the (now independent) Bulgaria.

God how long are thy.

Exam session is 3 weeks, here at least.

On another note, I finished adding Wallachia and Papal States to a Western Europe map.
