Those Russian nations look massive and germany is big too.
Planning anymore wars?
Azmorg, Lizardmen and Lou you are all in.![]()
Started playing already as Jerusalem on Squire level.
Spoiler :It was terribly easy to get all the civs to enter into a Military Alliance with all other civs against the other two I'm at war with. They wanted nothing from me and in fact were exceedingly willing to give me all their gold and some luxury trades. This was the first turn! By the 6th turn, I had conquered three of the Fatimids cities to my south.
See map:
Spoiler :
It is perhaps too easy. But then I have just started and methinks there are nasties waiting for me later on. Until then, I shall take great delight in raining tremendous blows for Christendom down upon the heads of the infidel.
Too bad Varw. :/
Ahh you cheater. In all scenarios you can make easy alliances in the first turn, normally people just don't do it. I'm pretty sure it's just some civ3 bug we can't do anything about.![]()
Due to HRE and Kiev the game is now ruined...

And just as i was completing my massive Danubean border wall (a smaller one was also built in the Caucasus) :

The plan was to be ready for a huge war against Kiev, arming each castle with three pikemen and two bombards, then leading the conquest in the Crimea with all my armies.
But it now seems that the game is over since pretty soon HRE will own everything in the west.

Really? I always make alliances as soon as possible, if you don't do it in the first turn, won't the AI mostly do it against you in the second?
But then everything is going as planned. I guess I should have made it a bit more clear that in order to simulate history, the first couple of turns should be spend on establishing the crusader states borders. This means that Jerusalem should occupy an area about the size of modern Israel, and that Edessa should conquer all the surrounding emirate cities.I started playing as Edessa, and i found it very easy to expand into Turkish lands to the north and one to the south. As you can see from the second spoiler, Jeruselum has almost conquered all the Fatimid territory east of the Sinai. The Zangids have also started their expansion. This is after 11 years

I'm considering removing the military alliance to some tech, but I'm not sure which one. I want them to be available fairly early, but not from turn one. In the meantime, try not to make MA's in the first turn.

The real challenge is beating the other civs, because you need to keep expanding if you want to win.![]()
