Michael Moore - Heads Up

Well, you just had to bring up that fact, didn't you! ;)

Alright, well maybe there are a lot of critical folks in the U.S. that...uhh...don't....vote? :p

I do hear many people moaning and groaning, and I would venture to say that most of them don't even bother to vote. I always tell them they lose the right to complain when they do not even bother with the process.

So I suppose you've got me there if:

voting = critical thinking :undecide:

or not voting = apathy. :hmm:

I liked the first documentary that MM did (Roger and Me), it had some worthwhile moments. Also, I liked a bit I saw on TV (60 Minutes?) where he stood outside of the H.Q.s at Ford and GM with a bullhorn asking the CEOs to come out and service his car. IIRC Alex Trotman of Ford actually came outside changed his oil -- obviously a setup, but at least he knew how to do it.

But lately MM has become a self-important blowhard. Like Rush, it is all about his ego now -- his style greatly detracts from his basic message (which has some valid points). This guy is just a blowhard, like Rush. I ignore them both.

BTW, I do vote. But I think the reason a lot of Americans don't vote is because both parties are pretty much bought and paid for, and pursue very similar policies. Just look at all of the prominent people in the US who make generous donations to BOTH sides during an election. Its all about getting access to the powers that be.

I think yeah, he has a point, but he is also a big fat idiot. No integrity.

Well, I have just bought "Dude, where is my country". With "Bowling for Columbine" and "Stupid White Man", it will be the 3rd work from MM I'll get to see. I am hoping I can have a more balanced view of him after that.

Regards :).
