Mini-NotW IV: I'm on a Boat (GAME THREAD)

Yeah, he'll shoot a bleedin' hole in the hull and kill all of us at once. Can dwarves swim?

What about second in command chandraskher?
Chandraskher? I hardly know her!

Clearly, you're jealous and want the spot for yourself but can't resist the pull of my personality.
OOC: I think we should execute our cannoneer first, he is suspiscious :p
If you're volunteering to go tell him as much, go right ahead. Just be aware that since I'm the captain now, I get your stuff if you die.

I vote we become pirates! And hang the captain when he tries to steal all of our belongings!

OOC: Since when does the captain have rights over our equipment? I think our overwhelmingly elected new captain should die first :D

Chandrasekhar may be a good first mate- but, paradoxically, that means he should not be allowed to be Captain. We need his skills as First Mate to keep the ship together while the Captain diverts his full energies to getting us to land before the killer kills us all.

Therefore, I propose we begin with a new Captain Nictel.

Now now, surely reasonable men such as ourselves can come to a diplomatic solution?

PS: Chandrasekhar, your diplomatic lawyer bill is in the mail :D

As they first day dragged on, it became obvious that the majority of the denizens of the boat wanted First Mate Chandrasekhar to become the new captain, but it wasn't a one-party race. Only time would tell if the other candidates could recover from their deficit.

It is now AFTERNOON ONE

24 hours until nightfall.

In the afternoon, the merchant's wife appears on deck again, now wearing a pleasant blue and white gingham dress and matching shoes and a fuchsia shawl made from high-quality fuchsia pashmina. On the way up, she stops to admire Nictel's broad shoulders and rugged looks.

"Good afternoon miss, going for a stroll on deck?"

"Yes, thanks," she giggles. "We're stuck here for ages, so I thought I'd admire the view." She doesn't seem that interested in the landscape though.

It had been decided - The First Mate, Chandrasekhar, had been voted the new captain. Taking the captain's hat, he smugly fit it over his head and smiled weakly. "I'll try my best," he said, his face tightening.

As the sky darkened, it was decided by the crew that they would continue on, the destination being just as far as turning back. Progress would be made tomorrow, but for the meantime, everyone headed to their quarters, hoping against hope that the violence was over.

But most doubted it.

It is now NIGHT ONE!

Day Two

As the denizens of the boat awoke from their slumber, a bright and sunny day greeted them. But as the morning wore on, it became clear that their nightmare was not over.

Clearly in a very poor mood, the Royal Guard, Bratmon now sported several bandages and a limp, although how he gained these was a mystery. Hushed rumors of a failed attack spread throughout the boat as the crew prepared to get to work. Calling everyone together, the Navigator began a headcount to see if any others had gone missing.

After double-checking, a frown spread across his face. "Where is the Mercenary, KingMorgan?" One room-check later revealed the results - a struggle had ensued here, with puddles of dried blood everywhere and a trail leading to the edge of the boat, where her body had presumably been disposed of. Left behind in her room was a Greatsword and a set of Studded Leather Armor, which she had apparently not been wearing in her sleep. They would be voted on, it was decided.

Spoiler :
KingMorgan was Innocent!

A frightened and frustrated boat full of people realized now that this was no vendetta against the captain - no, a murderer was on board, and if the rumors about the Royal Guard were to be believed, two.

Eager as ever to continue the trip, the First Mate announced that progress would be made today.

It is now MORNING TWO

Swords and Armor... these instruments of war have no place here. Let me, the diplomat, confiscate both and I assure everyone neither shall ever again see the light of day. Without these instruments, my poorly chosen Royal Guard would have never been able to assault this peaceful caravan.

Royal Guard, explain yourself or die

How can we trust you, diplomat, what if you ordered the Royal Guard to attack someone?

I agree that the Royal Guard is probably guilty, but we should not distrust a good Diplomat just because of his actions. The killer defeated KingMorgan despite his sword and shield anyway, so I suggest CCRunner the diplomat have both.

A ha! Thats who I heard banging around at night! But I must really Support the guard. I mean if he was really a killer, he wouldn't let any small thing like a limp stop him would he?

Wait, read this--

Night 1 - Royal Guard Bratmon is attacked but survives. Mercenary KingMorgan, however, is not so lucky.
Now I'm confused...and I"ll retract my vote for now
