Mini-NotW IV: I'm on a Boat (GAME THREAD)

Arakha says mildly, "And you're not anywhere near as wealthy as some other merchants you know, dear. That doesn't excuse you either."

Merchant says this rather mildly as well "And I am not as old as most richer merchants I know, so you can talk about that in the party."

(OOC: Arakhor, you messed up the colours in your votes as well.)

"Very well - another silent, then. Errol Elwes, I have not heard you speak up yet. Are you hiding any ill intentions behind your silence?"

AFTERNOON TWO

The day wore on and noon past, with accusations flying about the boat. The Royal Guard was at first the object of suspicion, but blame was quickly shifted to silent members of the voyage. The new owner of the Mercenary's gear was also hotly debated, with many of the passengers voting one item or another to themselves. Meanwhile, the First Mate got his crew into shape, and the voyage was under way to Jubilee. But it was the discovery of the Sailor that got everyone's attention.

Gathering in the cargohold, the missing rowboat had been located - chained to the hull itself. The chains were numerous and hooked to what appeared to be warped wood in the bulkhead itself - as if someone had somehow forced a growth to hold the bindings. In the very center was a sturdy lock - a lock that the Navigator immediately informed everyone was one of Thoral's enchanted locks.

"There'll be no cuttin' through those chains, that's Mithral..." muttered the Cannoneer.

The boat sailed on.

Night falls in 24 hours!

"I am displeased with the Helmsman's silence. Also, I agree that the Diplomat should have no need of armor, with the Royal Guard looking after him. Let the Lookout have it instead."

OOC: Can we have some vote totals?

Along about this time, the Helmsman finally unlocked his cabin door. He'd spent the past day and more locked in his cabin, pouring over nautical charts as well as technical diagrams for the ship. He hadn't even been sure he'd slept--if so, even his dreams had been filled with vectors and angles and prevailing winds and currents. The first thing on the poor man's mind was food. He went by the galley and ate some cold food bare-handed, and then he went looking, with an exhausted stagger, for the rest of the people aboard the ship.

(OoC: I deeply apologize for my absence. The first few days, some stuff came up which made me forget about posting here. Then my password was not working, and neither was the password reset. I finally just made a new name. If you could find it in your heart to send me any notes or things that haven't already become outdated, I'll try to catch up.)

"Oh, poor helmsman, hun', you look so tired! Why don't I go make your bed comfy for ya while you grab some grub. Meanwhile, the men can sort out who we're keelhaling t'nite. I'm retractin' ma vote."

So, it seems the choice is down to Methos and neverwonagame....

Neverwonagame3

Bah! It was inevitable really, after all, expecting me to come out on top has become absolutly redicouslus. Which is terribal in it's self. *Starts pacing deck and promptly trips on some unseen rope* Blast it! My last bruises were almost gone too. Just my luck. Anyhow the questermaster seems to have recovered his intrest in supplies, which really only leaves Neverwonagame3

EVENING TWO

With the death of the mercenary, it was decided that people would start walking the plank. While votes swung back and forth, several found themselves at risk - from the Royal Guard, to the Helmsman, votes changed and sailed forth. But at the end of the day, two found themselves at risk - The Quartermaster and the Crewman, Neverwonagame3.

After all was said and done, he found himself on the plank, staring out on the open sea.

"Shouldn't have betrayed your captain," spoke the First Mate. But even as his mouth opened to protest, the new captain took a few steps forward and drew his cutlass, slashing the crewman open and back, into the dark waters below.

Spoiler :
The Crewman was Innocent!

There was still the items to be distributed. Although many votes had been cast, it was decided that the Diplomat, CCRunner, would recieve both the sword and the armor.

Everyone settled in for the night, hoping that this one would not bring as much sorrow as the night before.

It is now NIGHT TWO
