Minor requests and questions thread

I think so, unless you can show ahwaric that orbis totally needs a new guild, and why none of the others should be deleted.... It isn't about what we can do, but about what we need, i guess

I think the main point is that he doesn't wan't to over complicate things by adding dozens of guilds, would be kinda hard to manage.
 
Well, so far as there's a limit to the number you can show in the city screen without making them impossibly small. :lol:
That is the only real limitation. I do not know how to code them to appear in two rows...

Also, I need to feel that such addition is really needed and does not overcomplicate things. I even think of cuting ratchatchers - spies can do without a guild, and the current one I do not feel justifies its existence enough...
 
I pretty much agree here, for Ratcatchers. Maybe we should discuss this in the espionage thread? (I should post here, by the way...)

Anyway, I wasn't thinking of adding any new guild. I'm afraid of working with icons and gamefont thing.

Some minor questions:

1) Is there any reason at all not to spread Guild of the Nine to every city you own? Seems like free money. No maintenance costs or anything.

2) Is the cool mercenary hiring mini-screen an Orbis feature? It's awesome but kind of overpowered since you can use it over and over and over and over again in one turn until you get exactly what you are looking for. How about a small cost just to enter the screen?

3) Is that giant gorilla the most awesome beast to capture or what? I gave him a banana and now he's kicking ass.
 
Meh, I'm just anal about the agnostic-but-not-really thing. :lol: I'm sure there's a mod or two out there with multiple rows for the guild icons.... I'm probably going to need it. :p

Save for spreading costing money? No.

It is from expanded mercenaries modmod by wastamastaflash, but I do not think it is used anywhere outside orbis. What is wrong with reloading to get a fitting mercenary? You have to pay for it anyway.

I think Acheron is better, but Gurid is a nice one, too. Never tried to capture Beast of Agares, Abashi or Eurabates but it si possible I think.

I agree, but I also think that the current abilities of ratcatchers - giving espionage per city - should be combined with Global Troupe guild. So they give culture and E points.

Very interesting, yes. I'm tempted to add it to Leaders Enhanced to see how it goes. I'm also just tempted to boost Grigori's GP rate. With my current settings, Cassiel first GP comes in 20 turns on normal speed (or was it epic?), which is nice. However, that still doesn't prevent them to pollute their GP rate...

please use his way, makes it better for the Grigori, otherwise they get penalized...
 
Request: the howitzer+zeppelin+techpriest combo for mechanos needs to be nerfed badly. A stack of these and you can conquer the map as fast as you move across it... which is pretty dang fast with the techpriests invoking the machine spirits every turn. Might as well be an "I WIN" button.

Good idea, will be in, but probably not in 0.23 d. No time...

I wish it would be so simple. Every time I have to find a way to do it, and do it good.
For now, Howitzer will loose blitz as it no longer works on ranged attacks. I will try to find a way to enable flurry to attack twice a turn, but it is gone for good for howitzers, unless I nerf them some other way.
Any other suggestions?

I strongly agree with this sentiment. I was very surprised to discover that I was getting different sets of mercenaries every time I opened up the mercenary interface. The more intuitive and balanced approach would have been that the mercs in the guild changed every turn, instead. Paying to get a new set of mercs would also work.
