MjMNES IV - A Fresh Start

Nevermind, mis-read it :)

Okay.

I'm going to paste this again from the end of the update, since people aren't reading it apparently. :p

I need you guys to standardize your order titles. This is what it should be:

MjMNES IV: [NATION] Orders [YEARS COVERED]

It’s hard to find out who’s what if everyone names their stuff MjMNES Orders, or simply Orders. Also, please include your stats in your orders.

What years will the next update be covering? :p

:p The way I titled my orders was perfectly fine anyway, and I always quote my stats..

Is Boundless still playing?

YES, sorry I am playing - been so busy! I will send orders!

Of course. We are here as well, to do the same.

Would you consider perhaps opening trade with us?

Great update!

MjM, you may consider this letter a part of a story, especially if the proposal is accepted; if that becomes the case, I will write a follow-up.

To Rash’a Qobe, King of Rash’a Iguodala, Conqueror of Khambat
From King Absodir, Glorious in Wealth, King of Ekdhan and Rakadla

Rash'a Qobe,

Your campaign and victories in New Khambat rolls a wave of astound and fear throughout the world. The shift and pulse of power leaves words of awe and bewilderment with the passing merchants in Raka ports.

These tales have been spoken through the mouths of travellers and dwelt on the tongues of our musicians for months after the fall of the last city. The awed court players have asked me personally to present you a warm concert of tunes and beauty, created and written in the wake of your conquest.

We wish for your visit in the Temple to Sdhedleva during summer's warm night. The building has been built with music in mind - its seats are rounded around a playing and singing band, musing the arts of the Daughter God to the worthy ears.

We will afterwards hold a feast of ten days, brimmed with the playwright of Raka's finest composers and the tunes of Raka citizens.

Tell me, conqueror, whether this visit be accepted or not!

May you sail eternally,

King Abdosir

I am afraid I am too busy with the affairs of state to come to your festival. However, I will send my first spear and his retinue to come in my place to enjoy your hospitality. May the Iguodala and the Raka always be friends.

To Koyunlu, Daragi
From the Retokimas Confederacy

Good. I am just wondering why our trade haven't increased, or the lack of news of tariff changes. (via update). Hopefully, trade may flourish as we intended it to.

To: Greek City States
From: Koyunlu

That will be fine with us. Just don't kick our messengers and traders into wells and we'll be pleased.

Crap! I'll send my orders off first thing tomorrow, MjM. Please don't hate me :C

I'm excited :D

OOC: I'm excited too ^^

The Leviathan from the well-known Raka ancient song.

Abstract: Most historians consider the Leviathan either as an imaginary character from mythology and some connect the story with the Rash of Iguodala. In this I show that while the mythological theory is still a possibility, the Rash'a of Igoudala is impossible and I bring forward the theory that the Leviathan is in fact Do'or Namir, the famous and highly influential Sademoni politician that held the growing faction under his power for a long time and expanding it beyond its simple borders. Evidence includes the name of Do'or Namir among the peninsular tribes of the time, beast of the sea and even leviathan in some accords. Other evidence includes the sudden change in material culture in southern peninsula, inner Sademoni and in ancient Raka lands. The sudden change of material culture show an apparent change of people in each of the territories easily connected with the ways Do'or usually handled the end of his wars with population movement to deny rebellion. Other evidence include writings in Raka, Greek and ancient Sademoni about a war between Sademon city and Ekdhan city. Finally I bring forward the sudden increase in singing culture all over Sademoni, less than a hundred years after the song appears and the interesting Sademoni song that speaks of a Leviathan conquering the Sea King, contrary to the original.

"I bring forward to the council the plans I have been working on the past few weeks. Together with Leonid Aurelius, a Greek general I hired, I have a full invasion plan into the lands of the Raka." Do'or begun the council's event.
"Are you mad? A war? How will that benefit us?" Do'or's biggest opposition, Maair Duran, a rich merchant that tends to spend time away in Egypt answered with ease.
"Please, please. You know Sademoni is the most important thing to me..." Do'or begun to answers before another started talking.
"A war will halt trade and weaken the economy. And who will fight this war, our mercenaries?"
"Yes. I request the council to approve giving me full generalship over the armies and navies of Sademoni."
"Sademon will fall from your plans farmer" Maair again hit a soft spot.
"Silence you pig of a merchant, go to Egypt, talk with the Rash, you would fit better there" Insulted Do'or screamed at his opposition. The council begun to be louder and many people were screaming. Quickly two sides formed farmers and merchants. The Artisans still remained in the center of the council, not finalizing their voting yet. When the old council head silenced the halls.
"Silence! Let Do'or finish, Maair will speak afterwards and then we will vote."

"We will invade Raka from several locations. Their navy is weak and under trained and their armies are even weaker. With the fall of Ekdhan the vast trade that goes through them will pass to our city and will make us richer than ever. And so I call the council to give me complete control of the armies and navies for this war."
"Maair, it is your turn."
"The farmer wishes to destroy us. He wants to bring the merchants down and will take all of Sademoni out in the process. His war plans are silly and pathetic. Raka is large and will easily handle the invasion. This is simply a private war Do'or wishes to fight to gain more influence for him. It will cost much and gain nothing. If anything it will bring us an enemy and destroy us."
"Thank you Maair. Anyone else wishes to speak?"

"I am." The voice of Nikor Memoric was heard. Many believed he was looking over Hagorsis growth. But it seemed someone made sure he would come. Was it Do'or? Or perhaps Maair? Nikor was the second most influential character in Sademon after Do'or and had much of the artisans waiting for his response."
"Yes Nikor Memoric, the stage is yours." Said the old council head.

"I support Do'or.", Do'or smiled in his side of the hall. He will win this vote and win a war. His influence will only grow more. "Yet I support that two generals will be chosen for this large job. I nominate Do'or as high general and myself to keep him in line. Do'or smiled disappeared. That is not what they agreed he will say. Much money was put into bringing him, he might destroy everything planned!

"Anyone else wishes to speak?" The council again was noisy has many argued among themselves. "Then it is time to vote. All in favor of war are to the left, all those in favor of peace are to the right."

The people moved. The vote was taken. Will war soon begin?

Maair was quick to leave the council. He took to the port and set sail to Egypt. He will not be a part of this, whatever it is.

Get your orders in everyone.
