I payed 1300 Euros for a pretty similar beast , only without Sli but with the 9800 and eight Gigabytes of memmory . Seriously there is nothing it can't handle. I hope finally there is something that forces our beast to make an effort to play it , because it would be graphically so good.

I play runescape every once in a while, last time was about four months ago. I usually don't do much but jump around and kill goblins and cows.
Tried WoW, got to level fifteen, was already bored, quit playing.
Spore is gonna be a Massivly Single Player RPG, according to Will Wright, but I can't remember where he said that....
Can't wait for the next Fallout, but I can't find the other two anywhere(to buy) ='(

The poll leaves MUCH to be desired. Way too many MMORPGs are omitted. Meridian 56 was the very 1st & it's not in the poll. Ultima Online was the 1st graphical MMORPG & it's not there, either. Even Dark Age of Camelot, EverQuest & EQ II are missing. Sheesh!

I voted "other." I've played Ultima Online, Everquest, WWII Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Shadowbane & Fallen Age. I beta tested Shadowbane & Fallen Age, but Shadowbane didn't live up to expectations & Fallen Age was cancelled during beta (it sucked). WWII Online didn't realy work. I played Diablo II, but I don't consider it to be "massively multiplayer," just an MORPG.

Phlegmak, most of this crew isn't old enough to remember the MUDs.

I played Puzzle Pirates for a while when it came out but all the other people kept getting in the way of my fun.

I played WoW hardcore while I was in uni. For about 6 months, I was the best equipped rogue on the server. Life was good. Then I got a job and quit for a while. I started playing again about 6 months later, but that was 3 months or so after the expansion came out, so I was yonks behind. I didn't bother playing hardcore, got bored when my friends stopped playing for exams, and finally quit forever (for the 7th time).

Eventually I will switch to the 9800 series but get two of em. I also want to play oblivion with max settings and like 4x anti aliasing.

Kinda off topic to MMORPG's but this rig comes with 4 gigs, but I can add x2 2gig sticks putting it to 8. I thought Ram bottlenecks at 2gigs?

Diablo 2:LOD and Puzzle Pirates.

World of Warcraft. I've yet to play another MMO that is as fun.

Ram bottlenecks to what the current software and hardware can read. Older systems where hardware and software where 32 bits could only read supposedly up to 4 gigs due to that being the maximum memory the system could use.

Most systems now are 64 bits but not most firmware so you have to use something like Windows Vista 64 bits to have 8 gigabytes of memory.

I just remembered a wise quote regarding MMORPGs.

"If you had something to take up all your free time and spend all your money on, would you rather the effort went towards getting up a level, or getting laid?"

I only play free browser MMOGs

Gangster Mind, Torn City and Urban Dead are those i'm currently playing though once i've played much more MMOGs at the same time (once i noticed i was playing more that 10 MMOGs simultaneously...)

they're all free and don't require a fast web connection or much traffic, but they're still cool

@azzaman333: if you don't like them, then don't post in threads about them! ;)

I used to play Runescape, but I got severely bored with it. My brother is obsessed with it, though. He calls it "runscape."

I used to play runescape and Diablo II a lot. I used the free trial of SWG, but that game was bad to me so i stopped playing it. I also played guild wars for a bit but got tired of it.

None. All of them look boring and uninspired. It seems as if ambition doesn't play a role in the game. I mean, I don't want to be a clan leader, I want to be a great general in command of numerous human and NPCs or a wealthy merchant who has influence throughout the entire game.

However, Warhammer 40K Online sounds promising. Hopefully, you can choose commissar as a class, eh?

I used to play Guild Wars. It was the only MMORPG not made of grind and fail.

Haven't played one but I just bought Phantasy Star Universe. Its kinda old and wasn't that good even back then but I like the older Phantasy Stars and thought I would complete the collection.

I think it was Mars and I had a discussion few days ago about whether or not Diablo II LOD was an RPG or not. He felt it didn't fit the category but I did even though it was pretty linear. I would vote D2LOD if it were an option.

It's about as much an "RPG" as other MMRPGs. I conveniently don't consider any MMORPGs as real RPG games. ;)
