mNotW VI - Trust a few, fear the rest - Game thread

That was Diamondeye. He's rather obviously not on my side, he's probably either with the brotherhood or part of Juggernaut's group.

As far as I'm concerned, known (attempted) killers are threats to peace unless proven otherwise. If choxorn is innocent, then Zane lives, if he becomes known. Otherwise, he dies too. And the story is not so great, unless you want us to believe that you knew in advance that the identities of those you attacked would be revealed in the morning.

ATPG has a little bit of time to explain himself, maybe. Going around saying things like "nasty humans" isn't exactly a positive, but at least there's nothing yet that says he's definitively trying to kill people. I'm dubious, but I think he can wait. I hope he can wait. In the meantime he should be expected to make himself useful tonight.

In case anyone is wondering, if you go back and check, Juggernaut has killed no one, and has merely kept people occupied at night. That, and identified who they were, which is a rather nice bonus. About the "nasty humans" thing, I expect that simply to be fully in-character stuff, which was written by the host, and I have no input on that. I know almost nothing about Juggernaut, but a quick scan of his wikipedia page indicates that he's a beastly brute of a guy, but he's been heroic at times. He's also not a mutant either.

Were I trying to cause harm I would have been blocking our confirmed innocent people, not unknown players.

I assume you're talking about Autolycus and Winston Hughes -- how do you know they are innocent?

Damn it, I leave for a few hours to sleep, then go to school before I can check the thread, and now I have a massive bandwagon on me before I had a chance to defend myself.

Anyway, fine, yes, I'm Bill Striker. But TheLastOne was right- I'm not trying to kill innocent mutants, I'm trying to kill the not-so-innocent mutants. You know, mutants like the juggernaut, askthepizzaguy. Zane and I are both vigilante killers trying to find and kill some of these people, but unless we work together, we don't have a very good chance of actually killing them, which is why neither of us succeeded on the first night. That was probably a good thing, now that we know who we attacked. Since we didn't know anything, we figured we'd just attack people at night, check the write-up to see who they were, and hope we failed killing them if they were innocent. If we were pretty sure someone was not innocent, we'd work together to kill them like tonight, or fail killing them, as happened. I don't know why we didn't succeed- the Juggernaut must be very hard to kill at night, or something.

These are obviously lies, Striker. Face your death like a man.

That was Diamondeye. He's rather obviously not on my side, he's probably either with the brotherhood or part of Juggernaut's group.

Indeed, that shadowy figure was me. And I was trying to make sure that you stupid homo sapiens and your guns didn't kill anyone innocent. Like I saved my old friend Winston Hughes' life in the initial phase of this conference, and like I will save lots of lives by making sure that you and your partner are brought to justice as quickly as possible. You're obviously a manic gunslinger who needs to be put to the bullettip for the good of both humans and mutants.

So, stop supporting the goddamn killer and help us execute choxorn. Especially TheLastOne36's motives I find reason to question, and I would advocate anyone able to investigate someone to take a good look at him tonight.

Go ahead. :p

And why don't you tell me what YOU are doing, Dimaondeye? The only reason people have to vote me and not you or ATPG for similarly lurking around at night is that you talked first.

I don't understand the X-men universe, I thought that players with known names and roles would be innocent? I suppose it is possible that they have a public role and yet still be guilty... but if that is the case I am very confused and getting ahead of myself.

I need to look all these people up, apparently. I sat through one of the X-men movies but I was on the computer at the time and I wasn't really into it.

Umm I seriously doubt that Sprig would have uphold the x-men 'canon', as in that their sides are not determined by the role they play in the x-men universe, or else wouldn't it be a far too simple game?

I'm sure he put some twists of his own.

Why don't we taste the theory out and lynch someone who is known to be a bad guy from the real x-men.

You mean like Bill Stryker? Oh wait your supporting him.

That's not exactly what I was getting at -- I'm assuming those two are innocent myself unless events prove me wrong. But "confirmed innocent" goes too far. (OOC: Especially given there's an open *godfather* in another game you're in right now.) No one should be able to state that with confidence, unless they are connected to Winston or Autolycus directly (are you?) or unless they know they know who is not guilty for certain -- because they know perfectly well who is.

Maybe it's just incautious speaking, but I do not trust you, nor your "confusion" -- you're sharper than that.

Wait, Diamondeye, you're Magneto? Finally, someone who's actually in a position to stop the mutant armies for me to negotiate with.

At least you're a bit smarter than your racial equals, Senator. You're welcome to put forth anything for me to comment, but I fear I can be of little assistance as the only people I have contacts to are the X-Men, and then you'd be just as good if not better off talking to my old friend Xavier.

Nevertheless, I appreciate your reaction. I have made it known that I am against the killers who tried to attack both you and Xavier, and even rooted out one of them. Through coorporation shall we end these meaningless killings and bring this meeting to a safe end.

Exactly why I said I was getting ahead of myself. I assumed as you did, I went too far in saying "confirmed", when I meant to say "presumed".

(OOC: Especially given there's an open *godfather* in another game you're in right now.)

In that game, it was specifically told to all of us that he is guilty, so it's not quite the same.

If you say so. Funny story, I accidentally accused my former mafia partner in the Koopa game, because I forgot who was on that team, and got him killed. He's probably pretty pissed at me. With Resident Evil going on, Renata, I am liable to get much more confused than simply thinking someone who probably is innocent actually is, especially in a game based on a universe I've never been interested in.
