warning for each tech that brings you in another era can be usefull to warn about the +1unhappy.
Benito Juarez Aztec showed some weird behaviour moving units to and away again against my cities while at war. He could have captured one city easy if he didnt move away so many times.
Fishing boats and barbarian galleys show only shadows while playing in Win xp, using vista however doesnt show this effect.
Every now and then the bronze smith has shortages same as with distilleries. Often i get "cant continue to build so and so unit" this also goes for units that dont need bronze.
As far as i know inquisitors were only a christian invention?
Ai vs Ai wars lasts for centuries, literally(shivaji Bhonsle vs Frederick). One civ is down to one city but still at war with a major civ.
I can offer gold to stop the war but never did just to see how long it would last. It isnt the only war in my game that last for centuries. The wars pretty much start when the religions are founded.
explorer is weak vs new world units. Barbarians have longbowmen brigands etc by the time i arrived.
I need fusiliers to do the job. The explorer wouldnt last very long since the barbarian hunt you downThis makes the explorer useless.
Whats the point in building irregulars vs fusiliers. The last are cheaper and are stronger. Irregulars are drafted that is the only function for Irr. ingame? Since you can upgrade to Fusiliers at 0 cost. Seems a bit odd to first draft then upgrade.
At one time i got no cash from pillaging a barbarian mine.
Ai seems to ignore crowdedness(too many units in cities), dont know the behaviour in war time however.
Is there still tech transfer possible if you have no open borders with anybody?
I can confirm that coming back from an impossible position is quiet possible. I was last in line now i am first with 1/3 of gametime still to go. i didnt resort to war to get me there, only defensive, although i took some cities. Without tech transfer i would have been screwed, that and same religion buddies.
Founding a religion early is such a great boost. The holy wonders give lots of very usefull income and culture. They seem to have a much stronger effect in TR. money = research.
- I agree that it would be useful to have tooltips on the techs that will advance you to the next era, but unfortunately it is quite difficult to code. Still, we'll think of something.
- AI sometimes leaves a lot more to be desired, that's true. We are gradually improving, but not everything is well all the time.
- That's very strange about fishing boats and galleys; never encountered that.
- "Can't continue to build" stuff is false alarm, you usually can continue the production you had right after you get the message. It is annoying, though, and we are working to get it fixed.
- Sure, inquisitors are christian invention, but we leave every religion an opportunity to behave like an ass to others.

- We're working on AI recognizing and discontinuing pointless wars. This is high on our agenda. AIs will accept vassalization under dire conditions, though, when this option is available.
- Explorers... Well, you have a point, unfortunately. We'll probably increase their strength vs melee and archery units.
- Irregulars require no resources. So if you have no sulfur, you're left with them. Might lower their cost a bit in future, though.
- AI is aware of overcrowding, but sometimes resorts to it if it's determined to build and stack A LOT more units.
- Tech transfer only happens with open borders (or permanent allies)
