I have a button on my router. Most of the time it's grey (not lit up). Over the last few days, I've noticed at about the same time every day (around 6 p.m.) it begins flashing orange/red (I'm not sure which) and green alternately. After a while it stops. Internet access is not change, I tried to look this up on Google and got stuff about broken connections which mine is not broken.

I couldn't read the brand name on the modem (it's very small text). Also, I'm not sure what the button is. It's two arrows pointing at each other in a circle.

Is the modem faulty and I should call the ISP or should I worry?

OK thanks. I was thinking since it's around the same time if it's some test or something that the ISP is doing.

I'd be curious what it means as amber/red usually means something is not working right. Maybe it is just indicating a traffic problem----like someone else is signing onto your network every day at the same time?

Yeah, if it's happening at the same time it's probably a network connection/congestion issue. Probably some other users are scheduling something that uses it heavily for a while at that time.

Well it also flashes green alternately so I'm not sure what that is.

Enough traffic to make your connection intermittent. Not enough traffic to shut you out altogether.
