I see a big difference.

I'm afraid to say it, but you are right. Just about everyone in Germany, Central Europe, France, and Eastern Europe at the time was a raving anti-Semite. But, I am not claiming that Jews are the center of the world. Only that it is incredibly offensive to go around saying "Heil Hitler" all the time, especially when you know for a fact that you have at least two Jewish (all though one might be an atheist Jew) people around.

Just to make my position clear - I don't see how it is *relevant*. Napoleon killed d'Enghien on tramped-up charges, executed political rivals and German nationalists. There just weren't as much people in early 19th century, wasn't as much bitterness in the First French Empire and generally technology was less advanced. Although, Hitler was ofcourse more insane than Napoleon ever was, and much more destructive.
