Most Overrated Games

Exactly. If you want the newest consoles as an adult, then you need to buy it yourself and work for it.

Actually, I'm currently seventeen and I spend my summers working in a factory, I use the money I earn to catch my PC up to top of the line and get at least one of the newest generation consoles, which is going to suck really bad when I'm in college because I most likely wont be able to afford new stuff and PCs at all.

HEY! I bought my 360 with my own hard earned cash..........AND I'M STILL POOR

That could be because you bought a 360.......

yes it is...........which is why I need a REAL job....not just some side jobs of mowing beeping lawns......

Ceaser series. Totally hate them. Not the gameplay, just there are better games with nicer atmosphere and ideas, that many people ignore. Like Zeus: Master of Olympus.

And WOW isn't overrated, it's just too crowded with noobies that go there to kill the next raid boss and not to play and explore the lore, hidden quests and stuff like this. THAT forced me stop playing WoW.

Not exactly a game - but yeah, DotA: AllStars is the same thing as WoW, with the difference that the gameplay is medium. Preffer DotA: Outland and Footy.

Civ4 is the most noob-friendly thing I've ever seen, it's overrated too.

Let me save you some time. Play VI and VII, if you really like those, consider playing others. But those are generally agreed to be the best of the series.

Fair enough, the bog down doesn't bother me quite that much. Unfortunately to play some of the cooler mods, it's just not something I can even hope for.

I think Mario's milked just about as much as Zelda. Sure, Twilight Princess has a 'Dark World' but it's really nothing like the one from Link to the Past. I sort of wish it was. The Dark World in Link to the Past was 8 more dungeons, in Twilight Princess it's more of a temporary obstacle. The Future in OOT had much more in common with Link to the Past. And all of them are very different, certainlly no less different than the Mario games.

Halo's for retards, I have a *real* computer and will use a mouse if I want to shoot people. =o

Yes, I have heard of them. However, I cannot justify a whole lot of crappy and mediocre games for the presence of a few stand-outs. If Lucas Arts just made those, it would be fine. But... come on. Star Wars Pod Racer? Get real.

Luckily I may own the GBA version of Final Fantasy VI and the PC version of Final Fantasy VII.

Man, you think Mario games are milked? I've seen footage from all the Super Mario Bros. games and they're ALL quite different. Tell me how each one is milked. And, watching Gametrailers' Zelda retrospective taught me that the Zelda series isn't milked as badly as we're saying. Wind Waker bought stealth to the series, and the rest is self-explanatory.

There's a PC version of Halo, so if you don't like it because of the Xbox controls, just get the PC version! It still sells well for like 20 bucks in stores.

Anyways, you saying that Mario and Zelda are BOTH milked pretty badly reminds me of just going nowhere saying that every God of War, Splinter Cell, and Half-Life game looks like the same of their series, when I haven't even seen much footage from any of them. I've seen footage from all Mario and Zelda games thus far and, they're not all the same!

CivIV was overrated, but not in the sense that it was bad, but after playing three for so many years four just didn't have that first time divine spark of playing a 4x game, but it was still damn good though.

It's the repetitive sound, graphics, and, finally, what killed it for me; disgracing load times in the later eras.

This is not a good thing to you? Games shouldn't be a frustration-a-thon.

Games should also make you work for the cheese, but playing Civ4, I felt like they gave me the cheese and some bread to put it on. I still play it though...
I have one of the Ceasars, all it does is kill my computer for some reason

..........are you serious?

Although I don't mind it, I think The Sims is overrated. I wish Maxis kept making SimGames, but now that EA has control, all they do is expansions. :(

Changing the entire battle system is major, though. And I mean, I didn't like it just for the fact that it was real-time. I didn't like it because the plotline also sucked. Zero character development.

How dare Square-Enix try to be original and breath some life into the franchise! Haven't they learned from FF5, FF6, FF7, FF8, FF10, and FFTactics that originality never works?

If you don't like it, your right, but don't be po'ed because they tried something new.

Btw, the plot was not as strong as other past games...but there was a crudload of character development, especially for Ashe (the real main character).
