CoD and halo, bland basic shooters with no imagination. Bioshock blew to.

From what I been told, the Half Life series is overrated, as it plays slow and has a boring and unimaginative plot, and the Metroid Prime series, as it's just a poor rip off of Halo.

Metroid was around first.....

What's every bodies beef with Halo? It's a fun FPS for the console. I remember(vaugely) people getting in a tissy because it was a FPS that came for the console first. Pfftt o well.
CoD bland? What did you want, aliens shooting down in pods from the sky and books that eat people? It's a fps that takes place in war, there isn't much else too it.

But anyway, some of RTW mechanics do seem pretty damn mysterious...
And each Civ in AoE 2 has different bonuses, and can't do certain things.

Many people considered the Halo series to be the greatest most perfect gaming experience ever made with the most unique and original storyline ever for a game and a great single player mode.

I don't think it had a good storyline at all. The weapons in the game are terrible. The vehicle controls are also pretty bad, especially the truck and the alien flying vehicle.

It is the first fps I've played that allowed you to step out of combat for 10 seconds to fill your life up. Since this game's release a lot of fps have adopted this and I feel that its dumbed them down the single player campaigns to a zergfest. I remember playing Quake on nightmare as a kid and I had to ration out my health and use my weapons strategically. Every hit you took could cost your ablity to finish a level or blowing all of your grenades early in a level might prevent you from killing lightning shooting jumper things that you needed to ricochet a grenade off a wall. When I played Halo I basically rambo'ed the whole way through. I never felt any urgency or danger in combat so it wasn't fun for me. I have not played the 3rd incarnation of the game.

Compared to Halo and other Xbox first person shooters.
The ADD twitchy no-life 14 year old Xbox player stereotype strikes again... and is trying to kill off games that require some thought about how you're going to win. :(
I don't know about HL2 - but HL1 did have a boring and unimaginative plot.

Still loved it tho. :)

But, compared to Halo?

Storyline: Space war with an alien confederation, already taken up by decades of sci fi and twenty years of gaming. It's not an rpg.
Terrible how? You point and shoot, which is what they are supposed to do.

When I played Medal of Honour I went rambo all the way through, then I upped the difficulty, maybe you should do the same on Halo, because easy games are always easy. I've heard the games are overhyped, but I don't bother with the gaming community, so meh to that.

On another thought, I don't play Halo anyway, so I don't know why I'm saying anything.

Final Fantasy XII is not even a Final Fantasy game in my opinion, I don't like the real-time system at all.

And people here keep saying that things like Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy are milking their ancestors' formulas. So here comes somebody saying that Final Fantasy XII should have remained like other Final Fantasies!

Other Overrated Games:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - No, the critics got it right here, it's just the players here are overrating it. Then again, I don't have a full party at my house often and don't have Wi-Fi access. Soul Calibur is a pick-up-and-play fighting game in that sense, but, unlike Smash Bros., it also has a good single-player. I can never help but be disappointed by Brawl's single player and think that it could've been so much more.

Some overrated games from my cousins' view:

All Sidescrolling 2D Games
Mario Kart Double Dash
Mario Kart DS
Metroid Prime (somewhat)

Some overrated games from one of my friend's view:

All turn-based games
Knights of the Old Republic
All Final Fantasies except for 7 and 12

blah. blah. blah.
