Multipolarity II - Game Thread

Based on his avatar, I'm sure the needs of the Crusaders are outweighed by the needs of the Legion of Doom.

Just East Russia, Partitionania, Rome, Sahara, and the League now. :V

As I said, orders in when/if I get a response. Of course, i gave him an ultimatum, and there will be war unless he responds by 5 PM/1700 hours EDT, so no worries, I can promise orders by Monday Morning EDT :)

Sam, the orders lock Sunday afternoon! Get them in tonight, or the doors will slam shut!

Felt like using Austin Powers because of a game I joined in the Forum Games section. And I asked Tani, orders will lock well after the time I need to get in orders :)

Oz announces that it wants peace!

Let there be no more fighting in Australia.

- Katter may keep the lands of Oz that it currently hold, even though they received them through and agreement they broke.
- Oz will renounce all claims on any lands in Australia with the exception of those it currently holds

Oz fails to offer any form of compensation to Victoria whatsoever for its acts of aggression, or even admit its own wrongdoing. Furthermore considering its statements in the UN where it admits its a warmongering nation we have serious doubts as to the veracity of its "commitment" to peace.

We can only therefore conclude that accepting Oz's half-hearted proposal is not in the interests of Katterland and Victoria.

Ohhhhh

alright.

Now, @ Turkey guys: I guess we can be... neutral towards eachother for now.

@Mediterranean Alliance: I won't join a war if it is caused by or perpetrated against the Turks. Why?
I'm playing a Crusader-state I should logically be always war never peace with them, but I don't wanna go warring yet so yeah.

The Sultanate feels nothing but sorrow that it can not free the muslims who suffer under your rule infidel. Unfortunately it is not within our current power to fight you and your allies at the same time. So we must remain neutral and keep our doors open to any true followers who wish to escape your tyrannical rule.

We're not stopping them from leaving.

But only now there has been an option of a stable muslim nation to protect them. They suffered under your rule because it was better than being in a war zone.

Hai guys, the hotel has wi-fi so I thought I'd manage a quick visit.

So, I'm putting it to a vote: do I euthanise this?
I am currently indifferent one way or the other.

A "major" NPC is a player country that has been abandoned. Akin to the corporate city-states, they have a mixture of major human players and the tiny NPCs' features.

...

Unlike minor NPCs, they are controlled and personified by the GM.

No.

Major NPCs killed MP1. I took charge of the minor states precisely to prevent the abuse of power we witnessed last game. I know my appointment as sub-GM was entirely your prerogative, but I see it as a responsibility to maintain a standard of fair play. Nerf them, fracture them, hold them in limbo for prospective players, but give them to me.

Anything less, and my vote above may swing toward a more decisive position.

This image always bugs me, where on earth is it from!? :crazyeye:

Sums up my opinion on this matter. I personally don't want to see another NPC rising to be a superpower.

Major NPCs do not exist within the scope of the IC game, so no resolutions on them. :mischief:

Never mind my ability to control the rulesets entirely... :p

Major NPCs are meant to be taken care of until a player comes in to assume control. Instead of attempting to dispose of them, the politically savvy move is to get one of your buddies to come in and play as them.

But as Thor stated the wisdom of such tactic is not of the most fair. Personally a player can just found a random nation then picking of the NPC. Dissolve the Major NPCs into either clear land or small NPCs for Thor. We do not want a repeat of MP1. Take wisdom and do as Thor suggests on the matter.

Can someone please tell me what sort of unspeakable horror happened with the NPCs in MP1?

We can't tell you, for it's an unspeakable horror!

I don't really know, all I hear is whining about everything. "Rushes are unfair". "Thorvald will make a bad NPC-controller",. "NPC's are overpowered". etc etc
