Katters Colonial Commitments
-
The Kingdom of Katterland today has announced that it intends in the years ahead to establish colonies in unclaimed territories in areas of strategic interest to the Kingdom. Trade Minister Palmer noted at a press conference at a mine in Cape Katter province that.
"Katters plan has two phases. Firstly the northern periphery, which in previous eras has been an arc of instability detrimental to Katterlands security is to be colonised and brought under central control. This will ensure the security of Katterland and expand its influence without resorting to the conquest of our battler neighbours, who just want a fair go for their own nations.
The second phase is to establish strategic waypoints, to ensure that our trading interests are protected, and that our merchants have recourse to regional markets without having to deal with egregious tarriff regimes."
Critics have argued that expansion may anger certain nations, but in response Katter in his usual style dismissed such lunacies by saying.
"If nations want to expand they will expand, theres plenty of land for everyone! Every power has a fair go in this matter and it is ludicrous that anyone would deny the right to peaceful expansion and development"
A note released after Katters speech noted furthermore that Katterland will not be neglecting its military and defence needs, and that expansion shall begin modestly at first in light of the border dispute with Oz, although our King reiterates that he looks forward to a peaceful resolution to the question of returning traditional Katter lands to their appropriate owner.

Katter stands up for the rights of poor battling nations

Katterland, deeply disturbed at the erosion of sovereignty rights in the UN in recent centuries has proposed amendments to statutes 3 and 7, to ensure that all states without distinction can be secure in their sovereign rights. King Katter commenting on these amendment proposals said.
"As they stand, statutes 3 and 7 enable the UN, dominated as it is by the great powers to violate the sovereign rights of poorer nations if it serves the interests of a good number of great powers. This simply is not giving developing nations a fair go, and should be concerning even to major powers. I mean it is egregious that the UN, should have the power to send "peacekeepers" or agents into say the Theocracy of China just because say a group of communists or liberals dislikes its political position and wants to impose their particular position on a poor battling nation without any regard to its indigenous culture, or national traditions. Indeed even great powers should be concerned at this, since THEY THEMSELVES are not immune to these violations of sovereignty that could be instigated by future opponents.
The fact the UN can do these things is unjust and unfair, it does not give nations a fair go and it simply does not serve in the state objective of the UN to help struggling battlers develop their nations. Therefore any right thinking nation should support these progressive amendments."
reports indicate widespread support for these proposals in Katterland, with particular support from persons in rural regions of central Katterland, who fear UN interventionism could threaten the necessary measures taken by the Katter government to exterminate the Kesha infestation of those regions.
