Multipolarity II - Game Thread

In the halls of Solitude

One of Samantha's aids entered in calmly into her office and delivers her the latest update to the USSR's situation. Samantha reads carefully through the publicized news of the Soviets.

"The development of Soviet ICBMs and ushering in their space program is of concern." said her adviser "They may say they're going with scientific purposes. Given their recent aggressions in the previous years, may have an agenda on conquering space."

"The Soviets are making a name for themselves already by ruffling the feathers of the nations on Earth. Now they are ushering in a rediscovery of space exploration. I question their motives as well."

"The engineers and scientists at the Black Mesa facilities on Dawnstar have been making progress on developing an atomic weapon. A weapon that's more suited for any retaliatory strike instead of our planet destroying Baradium Anti-Matter warheads. General Williams has suggested that our no first strike policy should be applied to the use of conventional nuclear weapons."

"I agree with the good General working with the Republic Skunkworks. It will be noted and append to our current WMD policy. I also want the Skunkworks to also research and develop an SDI project as an insurance policy should the inevitable happen. Our guided missile star destroyers and frigates should be integrated into the SDI system so that they can be able to capture an ICBM with their tractor beams and destroy it with their Gauss canons."

"I'll inform them at once Ms. Holt. Oh I also neglected to inform you that a historian group on Terra Nova have just finished building a Gemini rocket and have been planning to undertake a reenactment of the Gemini Missions. They also plan on reconstructing the Apollo rockets for a reenactment of the 1969 moon landing next year."

"Well, these historical reenactments of American milestones in space exploration should really boost the Republic's morale and remind the citizens of the history of space exploration of the pre-FTL era."

I'm heading back home; please send me a PM if you'd like your secret stats when I get back. :p

When orders lock?

MP2 Orders Lock In 11 Hours, 21 Minutes, 46 seconds

It's in his sig...

It is midnight pacific time, in sigs the times don't seem to work though.

The day before yesterday it was 2987 days.

Must have glitched out for you because it's always working for me.

Little less than 4 and a half hours left, folks. Secret stats sent out. :)

Hopefully those requesting them will get to respond in time.

I'm betting most of them aren't even logged on. :p

Their fault for not asking for it before Tani left on his trip for which he gave a one day heads up about.

Yeah, I'm fond of fairness and all but this turn has lasted quite some time... :p

Orders locked

Caribbea has dissolved into Cuba and Hispaniola. The Carib Civil War has ended with more or less a forced ceasefire; both economies are far too weak to keep up the war.

Hungary has dissolved into Yugoslavia and Hungary. Hungarian Albania transferred to Hellas; Hungarian Italy transferred to Rome (due to a Roman invasion of Hungarian Italy). These two states have likely been forced into peace with Russia due to the realities of the split.

Sudden Death List (states that did not get any orders or other activity in this turn and will be dissolved if they do not get anything in next turn)

Angola

Sahara

Somalia

OCP

ooc: The Hurricane may be cause of some inactivity in the case of certain players I thinks. I know Somalia inhabits a flood-prone portion of Long Island for example.

Yay! I don't live in the USA, but what if Eolo decide to kill peruvians?

==Bengal Civil War==

Down to 1 province and blockaded, the rebels have a tough choice of whether to surrender to Bengal or not. Fortunately, an equation has been crafted to solve their worries!

State income = 260
Rebel income = 3

260+3 = 263. 260/263 = 0.98.

Adding 20 for an "Determination Factor," the rebels have a 78% chance of capitulating.

1 out of 100. The rebels accept a government deal to be pardoned in exchange for exiling themselves abroad and resigning their posts. The Fifteen Colonies are no more. While one of the rebel bands disbands, the others, former veterans of the army, are accepted back into service in exchange for paying a fine and giving public admissions of their folly.

I am applying the "send all orders in ONE PM" rule now. I need to cut down on things.

As GM I have to put in infinitely more time, so I don't think it's too much to ask players are sure to copy/paste all orders into a single PM.

As such, anyone who sent their orders in more than one PM will find only the orders in the more detailed PM applied. My apologies but I've been requesting this for quite a few turns. It was even in the ruleset for goodness sake.

Economics-related PMs are given the most priority since a strong economy is key to everyone's playstyle, NGO, Corporation or country. By which I mean, if one PM has industrial spending / base and branch building and the other is war and espionage, the former will take priority.
