As per usual, Mugabe economics. Changes are as follows:
-You have a productivity measure now that determines the value of your goods, thus, you can derive more money per energy and raw material expended in manufacturing. The primary driver of the productivity measure is your industry value; the higher your industry, the more pressure and resources your firms have to innovate and develop better products.
-The markets system has changed. First, you have priority on your clients’ resources, then the middlemen sell them to an alliance market, where all members of your alliance are able to purchase them. Finally they will be sold to the international market. While it can be a bit confusing, you will notice that the price of goods steadily rises as it goes to more open sources. You are basically able to buy them wholesale, and if you don’t, you will instead have to buy them at market price, which can be quite expensive!
So, be wise and purchase all your clients’ resources if the opportunity arises.
-Energy/RM production has shifted to about 1:3. Whether this leads to mass military buildups or huge economic boosts, who knows.
-Armies no longer cost maintenance. Resource consumption is entirely manufacturing, WMD production, and army recruitment.

Summary
While war nearly broke out between the Spammers and Aden over the Gulf Crisis, the Spammers ultimately backed down, being surrounded by potential enemies and also losing the support of the Papacy in the event of any conflict. The Spammers instead channeled their energies into trying to pass a new UN Constitution which would empower the UN to better enforce treaties and international peace; its coercive nature made many parties incredibly wary of it.
The Papacy declared its withdrawal from the HITSGDP shortly after the Spammers became belligerent with Aden, and with Hyontou also embracing nationalist trade policies, the HITSGDP has declined considerably, though many Papal vassals continue to operate as part of the organization. The Papacy also tried to quietly dissolve the UN, but the measure was quickly put down by internationalists led by Guinea and Solitude.
With the support of Aden and its allies, Costa Rica has seized the Secretariat as a neutral party, albeit one that is very conservative in its response to UN reforms. Discussions with liberal UN members abound, but it is known that the next five years will see no radical changes to the UN’s function.
Russia shocked the world once more by conquering Finland after its puppet government in the region was deposed. The result was a once more-Russified Finland, with large chunks of land seized and annexed into the Russian Empire. While the ARPU has declared the world should stand up to Russia, most nations are content to let the Czar’s Prime Minister remain in power and continue to pour resources into a hole occupying Poland. The Czar is reported to be in ailing health, and with his current heir being so young, it is expected the PM could very easily soon be in full control of the country.
There are proposals of space programs in the world’s most industrialised nation, Tropico, and it is expected peers in this category such as Sinai might soon follow.
The world has split into four alliance blocs, with a complex mesh of neutral powers regularly switching which alliance they favor. It remains to be seen what effect this shall have on global stability.

The Spammers’ Crusade still is seeing economic woes from the closure of the Persian Gulf, albeit the initial shock is over as more business relocate operations to the Levant. The closure of the Gulf has nonetheless caused considerable economic dislocation, requiring Spammer shipping to go around Africa. The threat of war has caused the Spammer and Adeni militaries to build up slightly, however.
Guinea and Namibia, with minimal inflation, stable, open governments, and low taxes, have attracted investors this year.
Mass demonstrations in support of the ascension to ARMS in Britain, and the Emperor’s announcement of being ruler of all the Britains, dealing another blow to the despised Manx.
Energy prices continue to freefall while raw material prices continue to shoot upward. This is due to a glut of energy resources and the ever-valuable raw material uses.
Uprisings
Every turn occupation damage is dealt to an occupier; 1 army per 5 provinces, and 0.05 Industry per province. This is default; actual triggered rebellions can intensify the effects.
Aden loses 1 army and 0.25 Industry. Malay loses 1 army and 0.15 Industry. Russia loses 6 armies and 1.2 Industry. UK loses 1 army and 0.3 Industry.
Union of Nations
The UN has seen a measure to dissolve itself by the former General Secretary defeated thanks to a veto by the Solitude representative. A close election saw heated debate between those wishing to stay the course and those wishing to reform the Union. Ultimately Costa Rica won out as moderate conservative candidate, open to strengthening the UN somewhat but nowhere near as much as Guinea or Indonesia.
For 2510-2514, the General Secretary is Costa Rica.
Being elected as general Secretary grants 100 influence points. Deputies earn 25 points per term.
