Occitania commits to providing 100 per turn to all German NPCs and both French NPCs and Aragon and Lusitania. For the German NPCs, this is in addition to the funds already set aside for them this turn, which I have informed them of.

The condition is, for Germany, exclusive investment and a DP, for Brittany exclusive investment and an alliance, for Burgundy the same as Germany, and for Spain simply exclusive investment save those who already have influence.

We also propose to Brittany an integrated navy and united foreign policy, in the interests of closer relations between our nations.

The German states grant exclusive investment rights and defensive pacts to Occitania in addition to current arrangements.

Brittany sees no quarrel with this, and hereby bars nations besides Occitania from further investment in the country.

Burgundy can agree, and grants these rights to Occitania.

Lusitania and Aragon must decline for the time being but shall keep the offer in mind.

We also propose to Brittany an integrated navy and united foreign policy, in the interests of closer relations between our nations.

Brittany's people are already in favor of close ties with Occitania, and so Brittany grants such without delay.

Germany: Land of Opportunity

With the abundance of exclusive trading agreements, the German states have set a minimum entry requirement into their markets to likewise be granted an exclusive agreement. It shall go up with each nation, and entry must be negotiated beforehand.

First nation: Minimum of 100
Second nation: Minimum of 200
Third nation: Minimum of 300
And so on.

The New Americans are counted as having satisfied the requirements in Denmark and the Rhineland given their economy will soon rebound and be functional, whereas the Occitans have already arranged very large developmental aid packages to all German states.

My fellow Icelanders! It has been a tumultous few years for our nation. We are beaten and battered. Thousands of Icelandic boys lay dead in Norway and Quebec, or resting at the bottom of the sea. We must, for the sake of our nation, move forward. We must not dwell on the past; Iceland is, in its current state, weak and poor. The old King Lief made you, my brothers and sisters, wait in line for bread so that he could make more rifles and tanks! Not any longer! Iceland will hereby be announcing its total neutrality in all foreign wars, and take part in a peaceful amount of trade and diplomacy with its neighboring nations. Iceland is at peace, and will remain so.

Now, onto other matters. The Icelandic nation is currently going through bad times - I, Johan Eriksson, am the Acting President of Iceland, Greenland, and the American Territories, until elections can take place and a new leader, chosen by the people, will take office. These elections will take place on December 1st, and the results announced December 31st. We are standing on the dawn of a new age, brothers and sisters, and it is time for us to seize the day!

The Chill of War

Even as peace celebrations break out around the world with the formal conclusion of all wars, the battles still rage in the hearts and minds of many people, and in some cases, non-state skirmishes. As Syndicalists debate whether to trust their former enemies or the government whose utilitarian philosophy has cost the country greatly, Norway has by far the most precarious position to come in future years.

Supported by the Syndicalists and Scandinavians, Norway is far from being free of issues. It is suspected anywhere from one-fifth to one-third of the population are sympathetic of some extent to the old Icelandic government, desiring reunification in some shape or form. With the government of Norway clearly having no intent to yield its independence, some have become less than amicable, either participating in armed or peaceful resistance.

One group stands out by far: the Norway Noire. Led by a coalition of monarchists and what some would say fascists, the group’s key leadership formed in the prison camps of Norway during the War, when it became apparent that Norway was lost to the Communists. Vowing to fight and joined in some cases by former members of the Norwegian intelligence agency, the Noire are among one of the most ruthless groups of loyalists in the country, and it is said they effectively control much of the northern countryside. Whether hailed as cruel terrorists or adamant freedom fighters, one thing is certain:

Norway’s war is far from over.

As the organisation's first speaker, Agentina is proud to announce the creation of the Peaceful Alliance for Collaboration in Trade and Security. The PACTS is an economic and military alliance with a generalised agreement on foreign policy, and specific statutes in place to allow for easy collective bargining.

Argentina is also announcing that, following their recent ascension to both the SATZ and SADDEN, we shall be garunteeing the independance of Panama.

Breaking News!

New American President Jefferson has resigned from the presidency in the middle of his second term. Per New American law a special election was held on short notice to discourage unfair campaigning, and President Jefferson's protege, Senator Johnson, was elected. Senator Johnson is notable for his support for the anti-war effort after the first 2 years, stating that we have aided our allies and North America should return to the status quo now. It didn't happen. Senator Johnson applauded the peace agreement reached earlier this year however, naturally since he was part of the delegation that reached it, ceding several valuable items that President Jefferson had pursued in return for a chance at peace.

Now, New America looks on. Rebuilding begins, yet President Johnson is already looking at the foreign policy of the country. Wishing to avoid war, he has informed Burgundy that the recently signed Treaty of Boston is no longer appropriate. While he is adverse to looking weak, and he absolutely denies Occitania has any business interfering in Burgundian affairs, he disagrees with the assumed purpose of the troops. As a result, he offers the following amendment to the Treaty of Boston:

Treaty of Boston Amendment:

New American soldier stationed in Burgundy shall be for external defense only, to protect against any militaristic threats Brittany, Occitania, or anybody else might potentially pose. While stationed there, they shall not stray from Fort Pershing, a fort on the Northern Burgundian coast.

If this amendment is not okay with Burgundy, the Treaty of Boston will have to be canceled. President Johnson regrets this must come to pass. In contrast to this, he has taken a firm view on Germany and the right of New American interests to invest in the economies there in the recently split countries.

In other news, a plan for New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey to become rates of New America has been laid out. The most optimistic scheduled possible date is less than a year from today should the transition go smoothly.
