I'm a fan of Frank Sinatra, but I can never figure out what he is describing in the song "My Funny Valentine." Does anyone have any idea? Is he describing an ugly girl? Is he describing a Valentine's gift? What?

Here's the lyric to the song:

My funny Valentine, sweet comic Valentine,
you make me smile with my heart.
Your looks are laughable, unphotographable,
yet you're my favourite work of art.
Is your figure less than Greek, is your mouth a little weak,
When you open it to speak, are you smart?
But don't change a hair for me, not if you care for me
Stay little Valentine stay, each day is Valentine's day

No body knows Frank Sinatra? :(

Nope, not a clue, who is he, or do I wanna know?

If he has anything to do with what you might call "music", then I don't wanna know.

He's describing a girl who may look quite ordinary to someone else but who looks special to him.

What Col said. Youre surprised nobody here knows the Chairman of the Board?

Pssst, most of them are kids, little shavers

Yes, what Col said, but here is a little more in depth look at it:

My funny Valentine, sweet comic Valentine,

My strange weird girl,
you make me smile with my heart.
I inwardly laugh at you
Your looks are laughable, unphotographable,
My face freezes in horror when I see you
yet you're my favourite work of art.
I dont get out much
Is your figure less than Greek, is your mouth a little weak,
you could do with losing a few pounds and stop drooling,
When you open it to speak, are you smart?
Best not to open your mouth and say something daft
But don't change a hair for me, not if you care for me
keep wearing that wig
Stay little Valentine stay, each day is Valentine's day

Iggy, the Anti-romantic!

There's still the last line uninterpreted:

Stay little Valentine stay, each day is Valentine's day
Please don't follow me as I leave because every day is just another day with you (?) ;)

noncon; the point of that sonnet was that Shakespeare found her beutiful despite what others saw or somesuch claptrap.

Don't try to look smart by trying to understand literature. Anyway, you could probably invent meanings for all novels, to do with philosophy and politics and whatever.

Huh? I'm not trying to show off here. I only know that becuase I had it stamped onto my brain in English class...
