All I know is that before I 'discovered' this fact, I used to sail halfway accross the world just to heal my boats.... Doh!
 
lurker's comment: Yes, they do- they heal 1hp per turn in cities without harbors, and fully heal in one turn in cities with harbors.
 
Harbors also build veteran sailing things, not regular, but you probably already knew this.

I've seen vBoats promote to eBoats, which seems sorta pointless. I mean, I haven't heard of an eBoat generating an MGL.

I did the same thing... oh well, :) By any chance, did they change this with an expansion because I thought you had to have a harbour to heal at all?


I have a fondness for harbors and I do build lots of them. I like a place to heal my ships quickly in out of the way places. That seems to be where the enemy ships are.
 
@Cbob: Indeed, Air and sea units can't create MGL's. However, they do get an extra HP and are thus harder to kill.
 
Since the Zulu do not seem to be prepared for this war (that they started) I think we should begin to think about safe settling in Zulu lands.

We want to secure old India and begin to grab that peninsula that is just waiting for us to claim the land from (probably) a million barbs. but I think we need to take and secure the (formerly) Zulu areas while they are around just as y'all did with India while fighting them.

Just thinking is all. I was playing dot maps anyway and they ...um... er.. splatter! yeah that's the word for it.:lol:

I apologize, real life has really cut into my Civ time. I have gotten completely out of touch with this game, but it looks like you guys have been having great discussion. I should probably bow out, though reading up should teach me quite a bit.
Read up, get caught up and get ready to beat up on the Zulu.

If you think that might take a while, you could swap turns with Northen Wolf. He could play next and then you could follow him and rid the world of Shaku.

I'm not worried about you playing war turns.

The easiest way to fight the RNG is always attack with a big stack.
 
OK, I quit this one.

You may not have noticed but neither of them wants to play the turns. This sitting around on my thumbs while people play Tiddley Winks is just too far past my patience meter. I have a Regent Succession Game already going so I don't technically need this one too.

Sorry - I am just not that patient.
