Here, again, are a number of Napoleonic Infantry I uploaded previously, but grouped together, along with a set of heavy cavalry that use a sword animation. Not perfect by any means, but I think they are quite useable. Infantry use redcoat animations, cavalry animations are included.

British Dragoon Guards, French Cuirassiers, Austrian Cuirassiers, Prussian* Dragoons and Russian Dragoons.

*I was informed I had accidentally included the wrong texture for the Prussian dragoon. The proper one can be found here. Just paste the .dds file into the Prussian Dragoon folder.

Hmmm... I was thinking about a saber using huszár unit, too, a while back. Even tried to make the current huszár using the colonizations dragoons animation, but was unable to fix the distortions that occured.

I could think of the following two solutions:
a) If Matt takes requests, he'll could do the thing for us. We would provide him pictures. In any case, I'd suggest a green huszár. Blue ones are also famous, but green fits better as it resembles the national colours.
b) I could try my luck with altering the animation again. The technique that Ekmek taught me about leaderheads should work for units, too, although I haven't read that anyone tried it. Maybe it's just too normal. I could use the same animation as with my last attempt or using one from these units.

Anyways, I haven't set up the Széchenyi LH completey yet and also wanted to take a little break. Maybe I'll continue working on him this evening.

Thank you all for the kind comments.
I actually do intend to do a set of light cavalry, for the British a Light Dragoon, for the French a Lancer or Hussar, for the Austrians, a Hungarian Hussar (and as Hungary was a large portion of the Empire anyways, it is entirely fair), for Prussia a hussar likely, for the US likely a light dragoon, and something for Russia.

I was also thinking of doing a number of special units, I have always wanted to do a Scots Guard, a Death Heads Hussar with a sabre, and things of that sort, but the basic units come first.

Yeah, I believe there are other games where hungarian hussars are units for Austria, so it would be okay, I'd say. Do you want us to provide some pics?

They were the Hapsburgs best light cavalry, so yeah, its more than appropriate.
If you have some on hand, post them up, otherwise it won't be too much trouble for me to find some, I have some sites with a lot of information that I have been using bookmarked away.

Once I had a very useful page bookmarked. There were pictures of all regiments uniforms given. Unfortunately, I must have lost it... I tried to find it, but no luck. While searching for that page, I have bookmarked new pictures, though:

I thought about the colouring of the uniforms. If it doesn't mean too much work for you, it would be nice to have both, blue and green. I'd use the green one for my mod, but avain might want to use both. Also, it's not unlikely that someone would install both, Austria and Hungary. In this case, the green one could be used for Hungary to resemble the national colours, while Austria could get the blue one. Otherwise it would be strange to have two civs using the same unit, not to mention that it should be the unique unit for Hungary. But that doesn't really touch me, so it would be okay for me to only get the green one.

EDIT: Oh, I found the page I mentioned before: http://www.kuk-wehrmacht.de/regiment/husaren.html. I suppose you'll get what the links at the top of the page are saying although it's given in german. If you follow the links, you'll find more pictures, although those on the main page are already enough. BTW: I suggest red trousers...

For me, the second picture seems the most accurate. I would base the units on that

Also, I have to say: a Hungarian Hussar for Austria is not appropriate at all, it would be the same as using Austrian K.U.K Infantry for Hungary.
They both work pretty well for the Dual Monarchy (Austria-Hungary), and of course the Hussars to Hungary and the Infantry to Austria, but not the other way around...

Having said that, everyone can use all units the way he/she wants too, I'm just having problems with callings this appropriate.
Hungary was not just a large portion of the Empire, she was one of the two parts of the monarchic union...

It would be the same as having a Scot unit in the British army really, the Hungarian Hussars fought for the Holy Roman Empire, and for Austria par excellance, Hungary being Hapsburg through the entire era, and very much part of the Austrian Empire, as it was known until 1867, the revolutions of 1848 having failed; so it more than suitable.
I expect I will just do the one for Hungary, the only hussars in Austrian employ were Hungarian, they had their Chevauxlegers recruited in Italy, Austria, Bohemia, Moravia, and Galicia as well I think, and Uhlans recruited in Galicia.
Nevertheless, the Hungarian Hussars made up a large percentage of the Austrian light cavalry force, over half I believe, there was 12 regiments, with only 4 regiments of Uhlans and 7 of Chevauxlegers.

I am looking at something along these lines for the uniform, more Napoleonic.

Despite this, there will be other hussars, and I will likely do later Victorian era sets as well, so there is room for a Victorian one there.gl

A 'sneak peak' of the next set, Guard Infantry and Grenadiers.

So far I have completed the British Foot Guard and the French Old Guard.

Nice sets!

Could you do a set of Grenadiers? As in the ones with Grenades?

At the moment I am nominally working through the Napoleonic Era, and then the later Victorian era with a likely sprinkle of warships in there as well.
After that I may get around to doing some sets from the early 1700s, however at the moment I have my own primary purposes for working in the order I am.

Sword, how's it going? Been a long time!

And for everyone else, previews of the Austrian and Prussian grenadiers, and the Russian Guards.
The Austrian Grenadier is one from the Hungarian regiments, with the blue trousers.
You may also notice that the Prussian grenadier looks much like the Prussian line infantry. This is so because the only really distinct difference was that they wore a larger plume on their shako, however it was only worn for parade and not on the campaign. They did have a slightly different shako plate, from what I could see, and I also coloured their facings differently.

And the American unit. I will upload these in a bit.

The only thing that I might have added but that I wasn't sure about was swords, as it seemed some nations had them.

Anyways, they are uploaded.

Light cavalry is next, charge!

The Austrian Grenadier is one from the Hungarian regiments, with the blue trousers.

Ok, I am confused. Shouldn't grenadiers be throwing grenades instead of holding rifles ?
