I tend to think that it is just the opposite: No nation is a strong economic powerhouse without having these programs built at least on some level. true, nations to should stick to one allience. Things like NAPs are different, but if nations are members of two alliences and then both alliences go against each other .

So i recomend nations stick to one allience with other regional powers.

Altough reforms might cost on short term, literacy, healthcare and laws to somehow control the markets, among other reforms, are vital in order to maintain economic growth on long term.
