Neo Nes Mmvi : Grand Campaign

To: Texas, Mexico, USA, England and France
From UCC

It appears that that storms clouds have apeared over the Alps and nations gird themselves for war. And as we arm ourselves in this dangerous world we would seek partners in preserving the peace both in Europe and in the Americas. Beyond our NAP agreements we seek a 3 turn defensive alliance with each you.

Should conditions deteriorate in coming months we will be ready and willing to assist any of you in defending the peace.

Russia is alarmed it has not been considered for the TPTA

We propose the formation of the Trans Pacific Trade Association among our nations to encourage commerce and communication all around the Pacific rim. Open markets and reduced tariffs would improve trade and economic growth and cooperation to the benefit of all. We could speak with a single voice on economic matters in our corner of the world.

In distant ports of exotic trade
There's plenty profit to be made;
Now's the time, without delay,
Say "Yes" and join the TPTA.

You were invited from the start. See Post 130 quoted here. You are most welcome.

From Austria:
To Germany:
The japanese are already allies of China (or so china claimed). Lets grow our little allince in Europe, we propose inviting the Ottomans, Hungarians and Russians to it. As a counter balance to the growing Entete. (plus find a good name for it)

OOC: When do you want orders, Stalin?

We agree. As for a name for the Alliance, how about the Osteuropa
Vertrag or simplily the Vertrag.

to: Scandanavia
From: Germany
You said that you would like to talk to us. OOC: PM us.

OOC: Its the Soyuz DAMMIT!

IC:
Would I be correct if I claimed that Scandinavia has 10 SP's this turn, as I calculated? Because in ThomAnder's summary, it has 12..

***

OOC:
Its good to be back :)

Sending orders now, I'll try to find time for a story tomorrow.

The world shall crumble under the might of the Three Crowns ;)

OOC: I have to object the rather libertarian ideal seen in the rules according to which such programs as health care, literacy programs and working protection laws would be damaging for economic growth. I tend to think that it is just the opposite: No nation is a strong economic powerhouse without having these programs built at least on some level. Yea I know this ain't gonna make you change anything, just wanted to whine a bit on yur rightist american libertarian capitalist views ;)

Finmaster, your economy is +2, and you have 4 smaller cities and 2 bigger cities which adds up to 12...

The social programs still DO take up money, however.

We do not see how the clouds of war in Europe has to do with the Americas. There are no clouds of war in America and as such defensive alliance can only drag the United States into an unwanted war, we must disagree.

start getting those orders in, i already got some and ive started working on the update, so the faster i get the orders the faster the udpate.

@Fin, what do u mean? u think reforms are free? :p u are right, No nation is a strong economic powerhouse without having these programs built at least on some level. ... because otherwise they couldnt afford it ^_^

true, nations to should stick to one allience. Things like NAPs are different, but if nations are members of two alliences and then both alliences go against each other ;) .

So i recomend nations stick to one allience with other regional powers.

Your assistance in keeping the peace would be most welcome and can only contribute positively to both of our nations and the world. We will sign a defensive alliance with you as peace in the Americas is of as much importance to France as peace in Europe. (OOC: After all, we control a lot of Central America.)

Orders coming soon.

this could potentally be bad for france and its kind people, if someone in the American treaty fought a member from the ententre, or vice versa this could cause a complication

we respect your decision but dont want our closest neighbour we still have decent terms with, to be taken into an unsafe arrangement, this is not to be taken as anything more than concern

To UK
From: Spain

no offense, but the Atlantic keeps you from being a neighbour, however we are glad to have you on good terms

With curtsy and bow we step to the floor
For such a partner we could not ask any more;
To a peaceful waltz we want to dance
And step in time with lovely France:
Back on the left, back on the right...
The music plays on in deepening night.

Altough reforms might cost on short term, literacy, healthcare and laws to somehow control the markets, among other reforms, are vital in order to maintain economic growth on long term.

But enuff on that subject. Sending orders now, and a story coming soon.

Orders sent.
