NES game Concepts for newbies

It's probably better to get playing experience first, if only a little bit. (A month or two)

I'll just tell of my very own start. I got dragged in by Toteone (let us not mention him anymore in the NES forum, 'key?) and joined a NES. I recall only two things: being confused with the rules and being afraid of stalin. But I enjoyed every update, although I nearly died in the end as Quebec. Just try to keep a low profile when you're a newbie. Some NESers do not have scruples when it comes to backstabbing unsuspecting rookies. I should know. ;)

Oh, and just curious, but what generation am I? I returned to the forum this fall...

7-8th possibly? Probably 7th. But then its not realy taken that seriously.

Its about your abilities after a couple of NES's you get a reputation etc.

Dachs is a good case in point I think he joind just before me (might be mixing him for somebody else here e-heh) and I'm worried if i have to fight him. Other notables from the newer bunch (well for me) are: Lord Iggy, Israelite9191 and i swear theres more but its getting late here :D.

(that is mostly a commitment thing i DO NOT WANT to send a couple of pages of orders, i think i can do fairly well on my own with my shorter orders, of course the mods can tell you what i'm like and prob have a better idea being able to compare orders....)

Eh? It appeared on this forum. The first generation was... hmm.... UkNemesis, Toasty, SKILORD, JasontheKing, Ice Eye, Sheep2, Erik Mesoy, EQandCivfanatic, Sixchan, das and some others. There seems to be a second generation I missed, but I am not very sure of that. The third generation is erez (okay, maybe he was in the first generation, don't remember now), Amirsan, stalin006, Feanor (supposedly) and then some. Not sure about North King, Stormbringer and GlobalNexus, I think they should be third (but SB apparently appeared, then disappeared and finally appeared again, the last one happened already when I came back and I didn't know him previously). Fourth generation is Xen, Amenhotep7, Gelion, silver2039, fantasmo, Toteone and many others. Too long a list.

I'll add to this. In my opinion, Fifth Generation should be the group of people who joined since the beginning of 2005 to the middle of summer 2005. Generation six is the small influx of NESers who joined from summer 2005 to the release of CivIV. Israelite, Kentharu, Me, and... TerrisH, The_Strategos, tommy_toon, sheesh, I can't think of anyone more. And the current generation is # 7. 8th generation has yet to come.

The 8th generation is currently lurking around the forum, mustering their courage to join! :D That's you! Come and join the fun!

Woot, I'm the more inconspicuous of the sixth generation. At least I think I am, I joined right before Lord Iggy came maybe . . . meh, whenever I posted in Kam's Nes is when I joined.

All the cool kids are linking their first posts, so I should too! Not only was it my first post in the Nes forum, it was my first post on CFC. In fact, my only reason for ever creating this accout was to play Nes

WHAT?! There are other Civ forums?

Only if your stereotyping it:p . Seriosuly though, if you want to talk about it there's a lot people don't know/understand, it's a very misunderstood sport.
