NES World/Regional Maps II

I'm just going to add rivers to that, and see how it looks, before I make any judgements.

Very slooowly... here's what I've got of South America so far (still trying to get a sense of the Amazon) in red for high visibility, since we need a slightly lighter ocean tone for them to show up well versus borders. Just started working on the Rio Grande as a break. On the plus side I did at least get Lake Balkhash in pretty decent.

Well, here's a map that I planned for my NES about the Fallout game (just dreaming ;) :D ).

:( Unfortunently, my laptop computer has some thingie that it makes the paint files so large that I can't upload the larger pictures without Zipping them. So just download it and take a look, please.

The gray areas, with roads and stuff, are ruined urban areas, note that the Los angeles (the large urban area in the south) has suffered bad nuclear strike. :)

Any chance you guys make a map with differnet shades of blue for ocean depth?

Also a map for ocean colonization would be nice, but I think it would be pretty hard to make.

Thanks :)

I've managed to procure a Robinson projection, National Geographic world map so I should be able to make some better progress on this in the next few days. That is, assuming NK isn't already done. :p ;)

hmmm the lines on that map are thin and ugly......... thats eeky!

Nice map, i especially like the urban areas how u did them, looks good.

I would change some stuff about the bay area tho. Instead of the bay going in through the golden gate, and then up and down, it kinda mostly goes down and east instead. there is only a small bump in the north.

Also, there is more urban areas in teh east bay, and much less in the southern part of the SF peninsula. (the onrthern tip is where SF actually is).

Is the central valley a desert now?

Other then that, really nice. i am impatient to see how it looks once fixed :).

here is a map to help u out.

Jason, thanks for your help. I've improved the San Franciso urban area, If its all wrong, just say what to improve about it. :p

California, and its surrounding areas were not enough for me, and I decided to make rest of the United states, too. Map isn't finished yet, for exmple the east coast looks, uh, little dumb. :crazyeye:

There's going to be a huge desert, with radioactive duststorms, to seperate the east-coast, and west-coast civilizations, or rather, petty kingdoms, chiefdoms, vaults. :) :D

Again, you have to download it, because my laptop makes the paint files so large that I have to zip them.

lol @ the east coast.

but bay area urban looks perfect, tho the bay is a bit weird still, its playable.

oh, and remember, nevada-area is not mountaneous really, its a high, flat desert.

Try using eraser tool in Paint, Jason. ;)

Anyhow, made out of scientific interest and maybe for future use if anybody wants to mod it: Decades of Darkness Map 1900.

Note: the Big Gray Blob That Is The German Confederation is rather confusing, no? It actually only consists of small German principalities (not outlined), three big German empires (Prussia, Netherlands, Austria - with inner borders), the capital city of Frankfurt from where the Confederation is ran and Poland, Hungary and Croatia that are in personal union with Austria - kinda like Hungary and Austria in OTL.

btw, erez is right, the new map sucks. it takes forever to create nations since u have to fill in small little squares EVERYwhere.
Keep in mind it's not done yet, aye? :p

And erez, you're nuts, thin borders rock. ;)

What about ocean depth mpas!!!!????

What enrages me is that nobody seems to have noticed the fruit of TWO HOURS of hard, manual labor. :(

You mortals disappoint me. :p

As for thin borders and so forth, its not all that bad.

It looks good, das, but I'm not that much of a fan with how they took Decades of Darkness after the double revolution.

Hmm? Which one?
