I am very sorry about that, Iggy... But I had thought you realized that I no longer believed that you were responsible. So, I apologize doubly, both for insulting you based on a rumor, and for assuming that you would not be affected by it afterwords.

Yeah, because what I did wasn't strictly betrayal: Thlayli sent me his plans wihtout me being a member of the Balkan Pact at all, and when the deal to be in it tubed (which was partly my doing ;) ), I unofficially joined the RGC "puppet coalition" and decided to invade Turkey, just for the hell of it.

I managed to go from four divisions to 49 in one turn, and spend enough to keep the project going and get a convoy to Contempt to get some Krags, which I had to buy, and some logistical support for the massive invasion that I mounted.

Even though I never wanted to be in the BP at all from the beginning, because Storm contacted me first and proposed a deal. Then I negotiated a trade agreement with Dis. Then Thlayli talked to me and basically told me to assist what even I knew was a lost cause. I tried for some turns of neutrality but that didn't really help: my project was too ambitious and I had to put massive eco-age in it to even have a hope of getting it in when it mattered.

Whew.
 
I had a feeling that we shouldn't have trusted any of the new nations in the Balkan Pact Thlay.

Well, the giant german penguins don't follow me, and Penn Gwynn is not a follower of mine. But I imagine that the vast majority of penguins follow me.

And my ninjas are also equipped with penguin technology. If you recall ZPNES, that is something to fear.

I didn't at all. But Thlayli was confident in everyone's loyalty to his cause. I remember planning a story about how everyone was so pissed with me, but I didn't want a negative story bonus.
 
Yes very intreasting... you shouldn't trust any nations since they are all looking after their own self intreast. Tell them that theymust know bit nothing else.

Orthodoxia e Thanatos, Orthodoxy or Death. Basically a radical pan-Orthodox movement that would have struck the front lines of the FK's side as well as many of their colonies from the inside out giving Muscovy and Persia, who had agreed to aid me and in the case of Muscovy adopt radical Orthodoxy with me apointing a new Patriarch to replace the Synod, a second chance at attacking the FK and its allies. Also, in the case of Muscovy, it would have given a HUGE moral boost, becuase, as everyone knows, fanatic religion makes the best soldiers. I really wish Das were continuing this, I wonder how much of a difference I would have made and how far I could have taken it...

If I had been the Ottoman Empire, Persia wouldn't have existed. I would have invaded it from the start proably in conjunction with Great Turkmenistan (who I would have then annexed in my lifelong dream to build a Pan-Turkish Empire)
Then Europe would suffer the New Ottoman March to Vienna. HAHAHAHAHHAAHAH!!!!!!!!!

And then the Ottoman Empire would have been attacked by everyone and died a long horrible painful death in a massive blooody atrocity filled war if my actions as Muscovy is indicative of anything....:D
 
My primary goal, after first getting off the ground and giving Thlyali, Silver, and company a chance of course, was creating a pan-Orthodox empire stretching from Lituania, to Armenia, to Ethiopia. I guess I could have left Turkey if they were allied with Thlyali and co., but I'm still a little confused on the details of who was against what (I'll check the front page). All I really needed from them was Constantinople (aka Istanbul).
 
It would be cool to make a NES2 V PoD map in which the Franco/Persian coalition won or stalemated the FK.

If I survived this turn somehow, and managed to sue for peace, especially if Israelite's Orthodox rebellion succeeded...it could have happened.

EDIT: In fact, I'm going to go do that right now.
 
I'd rather have ITNES revived or a new one started. The end to Copenhagen really wasn't fair and I'd like a new country in a better political position that I can actually give some attention to before getting side tracted by real life and missing the one crucial update that destroyed me. *looks angrily at Erez for taking advantage of my absense and Panda for abandoning me*

Franco/Chinese/Persian coalition don't you mean ;)...That a good idea, if only from the huge arguments it will spark...What are you going to have as the PoD? before Dalnorossia joins the RGC or after :mischief:. This should be quite amusing even - what your tendency for buckets of optimism :lol:

Umm Isrealite...which FK colonies were you going to rebel in? None of them really have a large orthodox population, or do you just mean terror attacks?

Problem with ITNES is that is was mostly huge culturally/politcally/ethnically unified empires, if you call that a problem of course, it would be hard to build a new country without being on the fringes again.
 
Yeah, ITNES was a bit too much a fresh start of nation-states. Much as I love Kalinga, I think another NES would probably be in order.
