NES2 VI - Last Semblance of Order.

Yes, it is.

He's been doing Abyssinian diplo and stories for the past few days; he's Abyssinia.

@ countalorkin: Try a rebel movement in a plausible place post-update, and get a big country on your side. That almost always works...;)

yeah he could be the greeks and over throw those weird Byzantine wanna be's

Maek poast != spam: So das, whats the ETA of the update now you have all the orders and malarky in? France and Russia acheive total victory over their leaderless opponents? Any cryptic clues? I'm waiting for Thlayli to post a story revealling all his plans for the update soon...

Bite me. :p

When you were the Macedonians in ITNES I, you named your leader "Krichevskoy" or something like that. That's the most non-Greek name I've ever seen.

Free Scotland!

Of course it wasnt greek it was Macedonian ;), that and I liked the name and being the god damned leader of the country I can name him whatever the hell I want.

It was just really incongruous and weird, is all. Talk about a wannabe...:p

There are only two such positive examples thus far. ;)

Anyway, deadline passed, what an utter waste of time, the update will probably take me loads of time as well based on what I saw so far (and on my estimation of free time I will have - though usually it would have been sufficient, this update IS promising to be quite difficult), especially the spotlight. But you have your scapegoats, so you could just attack them for now while you wait. Or spam - though that tends to be frowned upon. ;)

How was it weird? Cleric didnt exactly write down any names for Macedonians, Your just bitter though because you died.

And a succesful rebellion requires quick a lot of work and preparatory work or so I'm told.

The Byzantines didn't just have 1 major power on their side, they had something like the entirity of Europe and Russia rooting for them, plus the empire they were rebelling from was being attacked from all sides and was facing the Caliphatic rebellion in the south...it would have been hard not to succeed really :D

No, I'm not bitter. That was my finest hour as a NESer, and I'm very proud of it. I'm a little annoyed at the slander of my nation, is all. So I managed to dig up a random descendant of the brother of a Byzantine emperor.

Names for Macedonians include such famous ones and Philip and Alexander, and such not-so-famous ones like Perdiccas, Antipater, Ptolemy, for girls Cleopatra was very big...use names of the diadochi if you have issues with that! :p

Although I did go 3mo. At least twice.

Actually, I did very little prep work...apart from the previous update, where I got overshadowed by the janissary revolt and got pissed at that, I just wrote a story or two, went to bed, and when I wake up Russia and France are strong-arming the Ottoman sultan into withdrawing...and then they used force after my opponent didn't send orders. I didn't actually expect to have help.
