Actually, I did very little prep work...apart from the previous update, where I got overshadowed by the janissary revolt and got pissed at that, I just wrote a story or two, went to bed, and when I wake up Russia and France are strong-arming the Ottoman sultan into withdrawing...and then they used force after my opponent didn't send orders. The Byzantines didn't just have 1 major power on their side, they had something like the entirity of Europe and Russia rooting for them, plus the empire they were rebelling from was being attacked from all sides and was facing the Caliphatic rebellion in the south...it would have been hard not to succeed really![]()
