NES2 VI - Last Semblance of Order.

The Mughal Empire advises its ally the Ottomans to not stand for continued Byantine agressiveness and belligerance. We suggest you beat the Empress on the soles of her feet with a bamboo cane for her insolence.

OOC: What belligerence? We don't want war, we want the Ottomans to leave others alone to do as they wish.

We will not worry about the Byzantines unless they plan to use their own military, in which case they will also bring France into the conflict, which the Byzantines definitely do not want.

So we will tolerate their criticisms.

EDIT: We're aiding our ally. Abandoning Sennar is not something we plan to do.

some people need to respond to my diplo soon.

And I strongly incourage the Ottomans not to get involved in this war militarily.

To: Sennarese Warlord Seperatists to the North
From: Abyssania

The Emperor is very proud and supportive of your actions. Do not give into any military action taken against you. We wish for your independence. Resist any Sennar or even Ottoman military power taken against you. It is your own duty to protect your lands. We are ready to except with open arms if you wish to join our armed forces. Never Give Up, Never Surrender. Good luck in the coming year.

The Emperor now sat in his palace. He was supposed once more adress the people of about the war. The Ottomans seemed a threat. But, the Emperor desired no confrontation with them. They were not the ones who had wronged him.

The Emperor stroked his chin most thoughtfully. Feeling the brussle of his beard. He hadn't gotten a shave in quit awhile. Maybe he would soon, maybe not. It was not important.

The pieces were in place and the movements were being made. The Emperor was confident and felt trust in his new found Captain. The man who had led the capture of Ar Rank. Astounding how such a young man could lead and command such obediance at such a young age.

The Emperor had recently met with the Captain. But he had only stayed a few days and then requested to be sent back to the front to continue the fight. There was a big promotion awaiting that boy once he came back.

How does that Cptain Badome do it?, he wondered.

The Emperor promptly got up. He walked to the doors and swung them open. He looked out upon the crowd.

The people cheered. Chanting the lines he had so embodied. The Emperor smiled and spoke.

We all know what has happened in these past days. Sennar has been driven back and thus the fires of dark Prince have fallen back as well.

People in the King's own country revolt against him. Our brethren under this hateful rgime have joined us. They praise us as liberators. For are we not. We have upheld God and ended the oppressive rein. Sennar lays at the tip of a dagger. Move just a touch and it will all collapse.

But there is still an ominous threat that lies in waiting. The Ottoman Empire stands. I do not see what their motive nor do I know if they will take military power. But nonetheless they are a threat.

They threaten to brake down upon the very foundations in which we stand. We hold no massive grudge upon them as we do the retched Sennarese. But, If they do fight we will push them back to Egypt. We will push them back to where they stand now. They will not move upon our lands anymore and they will remain where they are.

This mission we have been sent on requires the aid of all citizens. It requires the aid of all people in our lands. It requires every hand to work and move. We cannot let such insolence stand can.

They seek to bring us down. They seek to cure us of a disease. Is Christianity a disease?

NO!!!!!

Then, I say we are the cured, Sennar is the disease and we are the vaccine. We are the ones who will lead Africa. We are the ones to bring Africa into a new light. We are the ones will show Africa the way.

Will you join me, your country, your families, your friends. Will you fight for Abyssania and fight For Africa.

We are the chosen people. We will have victory. Stand and fight men of Africa and of Christ!

nevermind. Nothing was ever here

There are no vaccines yet. :p

[pedant]Vaccine has a very specific meaning, until the thing is invented the word does not have any medical relevance.[/pedant]

OOC: Looking at the amount of time passing, I'd say that the Abyssinia vs. Sennar conflict is not going to be solved peacefully. Bring on the guns (speaking as a disinterested neutral observer, of course. Hence the OOC tag. :p).

Neither do I. We respectfully request that Abyssinia at least try to negotiate the treaty as opposed to rejecting it completely. No one will gain anything from a continuation of this war.

The Ottoman Empire is pleased that we and the Byzantines can cooperate in a situation like this. We repeat our sentiments, and those of the Byzantines.

OOC:

No one will gain anything from a continuation of this war.

Technically, Abyssinia will, at first anyway. ;)

Why not do a current border treaty, with a 3 year NAP enforced by the twin Ottomans and Byzantines, but include a clause banning either from interfering with African Affairs such as this militarily, even if Allaince is involved. That would please both sides

Problem is, it won't realistically please Abyssinia, the side that, incidentally, happens to be winning right now.

The only problem with that otherwise sound solution is that the Sennarese will not like it, and therefore the Ottomans won't, either. A better border will need to be negotiated. However, we should not make another country's treaties. It is up to Abyssinia to negotiate their gains: we will not force anything on them.

EDIT: Actually, Abyssinia shouldn't find too much of a problem with it, considering the alternative. Sennar will most definitely not want to give up any more land.

The thing with compromise is that nobody will be happy, and thats the point. Sennar obviously wants all its land back, and Wubba wants all of Sennars land. By spliting it in half and including the NAP clause for Sennars beneift, and the interfernce clause for a growing Abyssinia's beneift, it is a workable comprimise. The two sides can work out the finer dtails, like eco point payments, but this skeleton is the best for both sides, and if the two powere really wanted peace, they would support it.
