NES2 VI - Last Semblance of Order.

To Spain
From Russia

Spanish interests in the Balkhans have been noted and will be promptly ignored. Russia does not tell Spain how to run her Empire and what to do in South America, and Spain will not tell Russia what to do in the Balkhans.

Union of ROMANIA-SERBIA

Thats a really weird country, especially as there are scarcely any borders between its constituent parts. Pick one, maybe?

Could I join as Macedonia?

Technically, all the Balkans are stilll up for landgrabs and stuff, so you could try.

Is kracow free?

No, stalin006 took it. You could start a rebellion against him, I guess. :p

Go away for a week and look at the diplomatic situation...*sigh*

To Denmark
From Sweden

The provinces of Scania, Halland, Blekinge and Gotland are not up for auction. Thank you for your time and understanding. A centuries occupation we feel is ample time to have made any previous claims and prove your worth. More to the point why havn't we (sweden) in one of our previous wars with you, made you renounce your claims on these areas. I could have sworn we did that...

:mischief:

To the Papal States
From Sweden
We will respond to your offer once the political climate has been further tested about Denmark-Sweden relations.

To: Romania
From: Bulgaria

Bulgaria recognizes the new Romanian state and asks for Romania to sign a NAP with Bulgaria.

To: The World
From: Bulgaria

Any attempt to form a Macedonian nation will have to negotiate with Bulgaria, as we have claims on large areas of land in Macedonia, those lands are populated by Bulgarians and should be joined with us. The non-Bulgarian parts of Macedonia are not our concern. Our claim has so far been backed up by Russia.

From: Papal States
To: Russia

Yes, a bunch of smaller Balkan nations are much easier to...contain...then a couple large, potentially dangerous ones. We see and understand your position perfectly.

From: Papal States
To: Sweden

Thats perfectly acceptable to us.

To: Bulgaria
From: Romania
We accept a 3-year NAP.

To: Russia
From: Romania
Will you agree to an alliance between our 2 great nations?

We are slightly distrupted by this comments. If we have understood this correctly, Russia is going to annex (parts?) of the Balkan into its own Empire. Otherwise we are unable to draw the connnection with Spannish South America and the Balkan. If this was the only reason for the diplomatical clash with the Ottomans, we would like to make some comments on this one.
Further we ask to answer to Spains opionions and suggestions with more respect. There is no need for such an rough speaking.

To Sweden:
From: Denmark

We have never renounced these lands and the population is yearning for a return. The cities of Lund, Malmo, Helsingborg, Visby and many more were founded by Danes, populated by Danes and a vital part of Denmark until Swedish aggression took them.
Why do you think our capital is where it is? Because it is in the center of our lands. Our rightful lands. We will not relinquish our claim to this area.

OOC: Kal, get your NEs updated :p

To: The Nations of The World
From: Bulgaria

The Bulgarian government has made a draft of the borders which the Bulgarian state would have. We are open for further negotiation however.

OOC: Not as outrageous as San Stefano Treaty of OTL was, but in that general direction.

Spain announces the purchase of Crete and Cyprus from the Ottomans.

to: russia
From: Spain
Your actions arn't in the interest of peace. And you words will only lead to further conflict.

The Bulgarian Government? you dont even exist yet and as Ottomans currently controls the Balkans they will have the first say on what the borders are (notice i didnt say final, people are bound to be yammering on about it for years)

They won't have too much to say though, Russian pressure you see. ;)

how do you figure that? they cant read his orders and if he is smart he will have created the most volatile peice of land in existence

In case of accidental death of players, I want to make clear that I am interested in, but not limited to, the following nations:

Sweden, Spain, Venice, Denmark, and the Papal States.

Thank you.

The borders the Bulgarians so generously gave themselves will not be accepted, Greece has already taken some of that land (in my proposed borders that trade center is for Greece)

ooc that is an if

TO: His Royal Majesty, the King of Spain
FROM: His Royal Highness, King Julien-François I of the French

If someone's words will cause any conflict, it will be spanish words. Russia and France have successfuly freed the nations of the balkans, and what have you done? Nothing. And now you wish to arbitrate to us what we should and should not do concerning the Balkans? Such is ridiculous. The Spanish government has no right to intrude upon the affairs of the Balkans as it has no connection to the Balkan affair. We are sad that you were not able to dismantle the Ottoman Empire on your own with the 'crusade' that the Pope was speaking to us of, but c'est la vie.

TO: His Royal Majesty, the King of Portugal
FROM: His Royal Highness, King Julien-François I of the French

Our Russian friends were not talking of annexation, nor do they have any plans to annex the lands of the Balkans. They were refering to Spanish spheres of influence. We do not tell them how to act, and they should not tell us how to act. This 'balance of power' nonsense is simply drivel used to limit the power of France, a power which they, the spaniards, shudder in fear of.

TO: The Leader of Bulgaria
FROM: His Royal Highness, King Julien-François I of the French

We think these borders are a bit too inflated, perhaps further negociation should be done so that conflict can be averted in the Balkans. However, this is not a big issue, and France issues a garuntee of independence towards your nation should you be threatened by powers abroad.

TO: The Leader of Romania
FROM: His Royal Highness, King Julien-François I of the French

France welcomes your nation into this new world, a world of freedom. Therefore, we offer you a garuntee of independence, should you be threatened by powers abroad.
