For almost as long as their had been Islam, there has been a war, both outright and hidden, between the Sunni's and Shia's. But what was the purpose for all this fighting, this division of faith? Even the Christian world hasn't gone this far yet, was the Arab world really this barbaric? Sheik Harith al-Dari pondered these questions, examining them, rotating them, poking, prodding, and looking at them from all the possible angles.
The shi'a have risen up against the sunni for the persecutions they had faced, the jeers of being heretics and being destined for the damned. Perhaps if the sunni's hadn't tried to extermenate the, there wouldn't be such a problem, but doubtful at best. The only way to mend this division of faith, would be to unite the the two houses and bring peace to the muslim world. This was his arduous task, his underetaking.
OOC: Yeah yeah, it's more like a summary of history of the division, but I had to start the series somewhere
