Everblack Day 1 The Awakening

As conscious comes to me I awaken to a world of lush green with plants and tall trees surrounding me. I tried to think about how I came to be here but all I got was a images of a flashing light and a voice that said that I was called Everblack. Taking the time to gather myself I started to pay more attention to my surrounding to get a lay of the land that I appear on. I believe that I was in some kind of forest with my vision able to see to large body of water to the both my side.

I move around this unknown land search the area to see what around me but not long to as I step to I heard the sound of squawking did I get the most terrifying sight of large feather creatures with big becks and sharp talons. They looked both vicious and beautifully at the same time. I run back to the tree I awake at my mind made up that to go further in these strange lands I need something to protect myself with. As I looked at what was near by I found a assortment of rocks and sticks that could be used to be me a weapon. It was unknown to me how I could build such a thing when I just appear in this world but never the less I crafted myself a spear to help defend me.

After complete my weapon I felt a sudden urge in my navel region that roared which signified that I haven't ate anything since I awoke and due to the fear of the beast around me I start to look for bugs, plant,or seeds as edible source of nourishment. Having my spear at the ready I search my area while avoiding the creature around me to forge for food.

Later as the sky turn dark I found myself with no place to lay my head to rest but the fear of those feather creatures made me fearfully of sleep out in the open so I try to my a large a strong tree to climb and sleep in for the night. As I climb up and found a branch that can support my weight I try and let sleep take me while holding tight on to my spear just in case of danger.

Back from retirement just for this!

NESCraft II Day Two

More bolts of light fall from the sky, consciousness and spirit taking mortal form. As the day passes, first blood flows.
Daftpanzer
Daftpanzer Turn 2.png

Your consciousness coalesces and you are. Your human form appears in a temperate forest. The temperature is comfortable and a soft breeze blows gently. The woods are relatively thin and interspersed with glades of tall grass and exposed stone. There are hills to the north and a small lake to the south. Peering through the woods you spot foxes, scurrying mammals your ranger sense tells you are red pandas, ravens, and wolves. Further afield you spot something large, perhaps a rhinoceros, drinking at a stream while to the south large brightly colored birds arrive- alighting with a grace that belies their size.

Your connection to the aether stretches stretches stretches and finally snaps but its not all gone. You can feel the spirits around, the forces of life pulsing in this realm, this... earthly and mortal realm. You are human. The air is warm, blowing through grassy hills all around you. Tall mountains form a sort of valley around you and you smell and see the ocean to the east, south, and west. There are animals about, their life brilliant and fierce here in this realm, giant turtles, wild hogs, dangerous scorpions, and a prowling tiger hunting along the coast.

Cautious of the vicious looking birds nearby, you set about making a spear from a branch and sharp-looking stones. You are not sure what you are doing and the thing looks a little fragile, but you manage to build yourself a rudimentary weapon. Spear in hand, you set out foraging for insects and edible plants. Here you have some success, digging up some grubs and adding a small handful of wild onions to these. And while your stomach isn't happy and your tastebuds are even less so, your hunger is assuaged for now. As the sun sets, you climb a tree to seek rest, keeping a careful watch over the lands nearby. You note a family of grey raccoons have arrived, thier nocturnal scurrying doing nothing to contribute to a good night's sleep.

Cautious of the prowling wolves and polar bear, your first set to building a spear from nearby materials. The thing is relatively sturdy but very crude. None-the-less, it will do the job and you head down to the coast where you spotted fish jumping to try your luck at spearing some fish. Your natural affinity for the sea helps you significantly and you are able to herd a pair of large salmon into the shallows before spearing them both one by one with your long spear. As night falls you stay up late to build a big fire and cook the fish and keep you warm. As the sun comes up, you finish your supper, tired but full and warm. You have even managed to save a cooked salmon to eat for tomorrow.

With wolves about, the need for protection is paramount and this is only reinforced when your keen eyes spot a snow leopard emerging from its den nearby. Your are lucky in your construction and find both sturdy wood and sharp flint and the thing looks wickedly sharp and well-balanced when you are done. You begin looking for berries or other forage to fill your stomach, heading in the direction of the sheep as you do. Unfortunately, here your luck does not hold up and you barely manage to find a few insects to fill your gullet. As night falls, your explorer's sense of directions guides you and you happen upon the bones of a elk, a recent wolf kill and picked quite clean of meat. Despite this, the bones look promising and you wonder if you might be able to make something interesting from them.

Morning arrives and you wake cold and hungry.

You start the day by flaking some flint from a nearby outcropping and combining this will some well-formed stones for a hammer and a thin shiv for a knife and wedge, manage to build yourself some tools for crafting or even rudimentary protection. You soon realize however that despite your knack for building things, the materials are weaker then expected and you do not expect them to last too long.
Next you set about foraging , heading towards the trees you spot to the north. Here you have some success, managing to catch a good-sized lizard which you skin with your new tools and eat raw. The forest is perhaps not as far as you had expected and you arrive before night is too far gone so you lie down for some rest under a tree near a small lake. In the distance you hear wild pigs foraging in the grass.

You forage in the thick bamboo for something to fill your stomach and easily find plentiful wild roots and tubers to quickly fill your belly. Picking enough for tomorrow's breakfast, you head south-east and away from the prowling bear. As you do, you come into the territory of a prowling leopard and this sets out for you. Without weapons or armor you can only run but it is much faster than you. It pounces on you and you are forced to fight for your life. You beat at it wildly as its rear claws rake at your thighs and perhaps frightening by your crying and whimpering and pleas for mercy, finally turns and slinks away.
Badly wounded, you seek refuge near a lake, noting ducks and geese nearby and seeing the coast just beyond. You settle in to rest and only pray that the leopard will not return to finish what it has begun.

The land is cold and harsh and you are unarmed and naked. You need a weapon, a tool of some sort. You set about shaping some rocks into crude tools, banging them together until they flake satisfactorily. You don't know much about tools but you do know about weapons and these look sturdy and sharp and you are quite pleased with your effort.
Turning to the issue of heat and shelter, you make your way through the hills to a snow-draped cave you had spotted earlier. The cave smells like cat, a large cat, and there are bones of muskox and rabbits inside but you take your chances, moving in and building a tall fire at the entrance to scare any wild animals away. As night falls you can see the eyes of a tiger reflecting the fire beyond the flame's light and hear soft growling. Despite this, the tiger does not come any closer -though you can feel its feline frustration as it paces slowly. The night passes and you are warm but hungry and sleep only fitfully but at least, for now, you have not frozen to death.

You weren't. And then you are. Looking about you find yourself on the coast, a tall mountain spewing smoke and ash to the north. All around you however, the ground is flat and covered in tall grass, only rarely broken by a sparse tree or two or a small outcropping of stone. Long horned antelope forage nearby and drink from a stream while to the south you can spot walabee and along the coast long-legged flamingo foraging in the reeds. To the east you spot a pod of curious dolphins, perhaps attracted by your sudden and magical appearance. In the north, beyond the cinder peaks, you can hear hyenas laughing.

1 AP: Wield the mighty Spear against the tasty sheep, consume their flesh, and wear their skin to ward off the cold (Aggressive since I'm hangry)
1 AP: Sleeeeeeeep near the sheep herd, dreaming of tasty sheep

Free: Thanking the earth for its bounties, I pick up some rocks and grass from about my dirt-covered feet.
1AP: I enjoy splendours of this world as I hike north up near the southern bank of the lake.
(If allowed two free actions) Free: At the trees' feet I help myself to their kindly given sticks.
1AP: Praying to the spirits for guidance, I forage for sustenance.
1AP: Having felt the spirits' blessings for this first day of life, I meditate to understand their ways. (Does meditating count as slight rest? If not, focus on spiritual endeavours rather than sleeping.
**
Bright. Hard. Chill. Loud. Fright. Feeling.
Feel?
Smells of dirt. Tickles of breeze. Grass brushing feet.
Feet?
Skin, scratching rock. Eyelashes cutting the sun's warm light. I breath deep of the rich, earthy scents.
I?
With a first wobbling step, I stride into consciousness. The world around me is so bright, so vibrant, so real. And so am I, though how I know, I do not know.
Do?
Turning, blinking, walking, running, gasping, laughing at all the wonders of this body. But a dozen breaths before, I had never felt air in my throat, and now I can do all I can think to do.
Think?
If I wish my arm to move, it moves. If I wish my feet to step, they step. If I can throw this flesh into motion, what set this thinking mind spinning? I close my eyes, welcoming back the all-enveloping darkness, alone but for them.
Them?
They are all around me, in me, are me. The spirits of this world are strong and so very alive. They brought me to this world, just as they brought the dirt and the stone, the grass and the air. What do I feel? I feel the spirits. What do I tread on? The spirit of the earth. Who am I? Whoever they deem me to be. What should I do? All I can to thank them. And what of my mind? That, I set to following their will, and in this moment, their command is clear.
Live.

Ah those sprite scenes are super good.

If you think they're so good, you should join uwu

1 AP: Craft the muskox bones into a club (like in the Africa sequence in Space Oddessy. If this kind of experimental crafting isn't allowed, just tell me)
1 AP: *Carefully* ambush the tiger, with my club in hand. This is my cave, my home now. I don't think this biome is big enough for the two of us. But something tells me this can go really wrong, really fast, so if the oppritunity doesn't present itself, don't push it.

If the tiger hunt succeeds, then:

1 AP: Use my stone tools to skin the tiger and craft it into clothes. Use my free actions to take the meat, cook it at camp, and eat it.

If it fails and I'm still alive:

1 AP: Go hunt some rabbits and use my free actions to bring their meat home and cook it/eat it.

NESCraft II Day Three

Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp,
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!

When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?

Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,

Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

As the sun rises, you strike out northwards, making for the glistening waters of the lake on the horizon. Along the way you are ambushed by giant scorpions who unlike their smaller brethren, seem to operate in packs. You feel you are very lucky (karma) and they do not press the attack when you flee. Arriving at the lake you notice that the large turtles are not pleased by your presence and take to the water, emerging on the far bank where they may feel safe from your presence. You forage in the tall grass and along the shore of the lake and manage to fill your belly with bugs and what turns out to be relatively delicious small black berries growing on small shrubs. The sun sets and you turn your mind to meditation, feeling a deep connection with the spirit world and gaining new insights into the forces of life all around you.

The sun rises and you are physically tired but spiritually fulfilled.

Those goats sure look good. But first, you need a way of hunting them effectively. Your spear is promising but you are inspired and decide to build an atlatl to give it range and power. First you craft yourself some rudimentary stone tools and using these, turn to shaping a promising stick into an atlatl, giving it a slight curve and two large holes for your fingers.
As the sun sets, your natural aptitude for animals and hunting serves you well. You set out to hunt and on your first throw drive your spear deep into the shoulder of a young male. Your crude spear doesn't survive the experience but the kill is clean. You eat its meat raw and and have enough for tomorrow also. Skinning the animal with your stone tools, you are able to harvest its skin, though it will soon rot and fall apart without some sort of processing.

Tired from not sleeping, you none-the-less press on, starting your day with yesterday's salmon for breakfast. Despite the fire, the cold wind is harsh and you set about to build yourself some protection, first building some stone tools and then using these to cut tall grass and weaving it crudely, make a grass blanket. Exhausted to the point of collapse, you wrap yourself in your blanket, pile more sticks on the fire, and fall asleep.

As the morning rises you are no longer 'chilly', at least for now.

Morning comes and your growling stomach makes itself known relentlessly. The sheep remain in the vicinity and this offers an opportunity and so you set out to hunt them. You crawl as close as you can, hiding in the tall grass and behind the trees, trying to stay upwind and finally launch your spear. The throw is of slightly off but none-the-less strikes the target, spiking the animal by its foot to the frozen ground. As it bleat in terror and pain you run up to it and smash its head in with a rock.
You skin the wooly hide and despite the fat and blood on it, wrap yourself in its warmth. Full and finally a little warmer, you gather your kill around you and have a fitful sleep, all too aware that the scent of blood and the fresh kill has attracted the attention of predators and scavengers.

Your hide will have to be processed in some way or it will rot and fall apart very shortly. With the raw sheep hide to insulate you, you avoid slipping from chilly to cold, at least for now.

It takes some time but you are able to find some grasses and seaweed which when woven together, form a sturdy and 'springy' enough string to use as a sling. During the process you manage to break several stone needles and realize your tools are unlikely to last you much longer. You practice throwing some stones with the thing and while it takes some getting used to, finally manage to reliably strike a target at range with some precision.
As night falls, you follow the example of the ever-present meerkats and forage for termites in the nearby mounds, finding enough insects and grubs to fill your stomach.
Morning rises and you realize you have have spent the whole night foraging and have not yet slept. The sun is blistering and you will need to find appropriate shelter today or risk heat exhaustion.

Quite suddenly, you are. The sun is hot and the ground is hard and dry. The wind is even warm. Zebras graze nearby and do not seem to take much notice of you. Further large primates, large painted bears, ducks, and deer speak to the diversity of life in the area.

First you need some sort of way to defend yourself and looking around see enough stone and branches to craft a rudimentary ax. The ax isn't pretty or particularly sharp but you feel will serve you well enough in the short term. Munching on left-over vegtables from yesterday's forage, your turn your attention to your wound, crafting bandages from reeds and grass and these bring an almost magical sense of relief as the pain washes away. You find yourself with some left-over bandages and tuck them away for later, just in case.
Full, finally armed, and with your wound's pain receding, you notice the sun setting in the west behind a forest separated from you by a strip of sea and give yourself to sleep.

The tiger does not seem to want to leave and you are adamant that its cave will be yours, and so, you pick up a large femur from the muskox skeleton and 'craft' a bone club. As you step out from behind the fire the tiger immediately lunges, low and left, intent on grabbing your leg. Your warrior instincts kick in and you spin right, bringing the club down violently on its head so you do. You hear a satisfying crunch as its left eye seems to explode and the orbital cavity around it caves in. The femur shatters from the blow and you are left holding a small shiv of bone. It howls in rage and pain and turns to flee, the battle already over in seconds but again your warrior instinct kicks in and your lunge, this time catching it in the hip with the bone splinter. It lopes off into the tall grass, badly limping.
Victorious, you are not keen to share your kill with others and set out after it, shivering in the cold and wind. Less than half a mile away, you find its body in a shallow snow-filled canyon. You try to skin it with your stone tools but botch the job thoroughly, badly damaging the skin and rendering it useless except as a pile of fluff and fur. The meat you do a better job of, and bringing it back to your cave, cook its flesh over the fire you build up with sticks and grass from nearby.
By the time you have botched the skinning and preparation of the hide, and returned with the meat of the beast, which while horrible, promises to feed you for several days, the sun is already coming up.
Near your cave and the fire, the cold of the area doesn't seem so bad and you are no longer 'chilly' or 'cold'.

You pick up some stone and select the best for your purposes, chipping and flaking them until you have a knife and assorted tools you feel might be useful to you. Then, focusing on the eastern coast, you head out, foraging on veggies and berries you find along the way (even finding enough for your breakfast tomorrow). Arriving at the coast, where wild horses prance and graze nearby, you pay homage to the rising sun, and working through the night, make an arch of stone at the sea's edge. TURN 3, DAY 1 (According to Herobrine)

Awoken... what is awoken? Was I sleeping? Who am I? Many thoughts like this raced through me for what seemed like eons, and then... a thousand different thoughts, and a thousand more feelings rushed to me. I could feel the prickly stems of grass poking into my backside, the odd brush of dirt as I slowly gathered my senses. I could feel a pressure on my closed eyelids, a heat, I opened them to a brilliant blinding light and just as quickly shut them. Feeling dazed but curious I brought my hand to my face, covering my now sensitive eyes as I slowly opened them. From my perspective on the ground looking up, I saw a magnificent blue encircled by stakes of crispy tan tall grass. I brought myself up, now standing in a sea of that same tall grass.

I explored my immediate surroundings , making note of the qualities of each bundle of grass. Then I saw it, a large white stone, mostly flat and roughly half the size of my torso. Acting in a kind of blind trance, I felt that there was something I wanted to do... I needed to do. The compulsion forced me to drag it back to where my body first laid on the ground, where the grass still bent from my presence. Next I strode to find something wet, a small puddle caked in mud, and dragged my hand through it. Rushing back to the stone I stooped down over the rock and set my hand on the flat side. As I lifted my hand a few seconds later I saw what the compulsion led me to do, there was a flat white rock with the mark of an open hand upon it.

In this world, whichever it may be, I was alone... yet I had not decided on what that feeling felt like. Perhaps there was a reason, perhaps not. All I knew was that I existed, the one, and maybe I should take heed of that. If I am the one, I should not waste the fortune that has been bestowed upon this world. I will do what must be done to preserve myself.

ACTIONS
-After completing the totem of sorts upon arriving, head west to the river and follow the river north. Forage along the way. 2AP
-Attempt to use the spines from the cacti as well as sticks and stones in the area to make a prickly stone spear, and harvest some extra spines for later. 1AP
