NESLife attempt #3

Yes. That's why I said 'without as much of a...' wait, yeah, you're right. I just should have said 'without a centralized hierarchy', not 'without AS MUCH OF a centralized hierarchy'.

Tall Zeeboo: Fulton
Evolved From: Collective Zeeboo
Genes Added (max 3): Stem x1, Branches x1, Photosynthesis x1
Genes Removed (max 3): None
Description (Optional): In order to withstand the intense competition in the land inhabited by the Zeeboo, the Zeeboo grew adaptations in order to better reach the necessary sunlight. The Zeeboo of this era grew a longer trunk, to rise above the surrounding plants, with leafy branches fanning out along the top of the trunk.

********************

Final assignments due this week, so a crap description for this era.

In the stats, there are two entries for the collective Zeeboo’s stems; Stems x1 and Stem x2, I assume they should read Stem x3.

Pre Legger: erez87
Evolved from: LandScraper
Genes (17): Skeleton x1, Jaws x1, Plant Eating x4, Swimming x2, Eyes x1, Water Retention x2, Lungs x3, Walking x3
Description: A new small animal that appeared in Lemunesia. Evolved from the LandScraper, they had to learn to walk faster to escape predators. Rather than running back to the already full seas they began to go deeper into the land. Their lungs capacity grew as well as their legs - becoming more efficient, allowing them to run from the large predators all around them. They were also very small - hiding in small holes and vegetation from predators. They were sometimes known to use their larger than normal digging animals size to throw diggers out of their own holes to hide until danger leaves and than running away to another place. Fast walking and small size was their trade mark at this era. They were Ok swimmers allowing them to move across the islands of Lemunesia to reach extra lands. Soon they reached larger continents in this way and it is presumed - but still not known - that they also appeared on Heftulania. Only few remains were seen there thought those may have come on predator’s bellies rather than from their own little living bodies.

Pro Legger : erez87
Evolved from: Pre Legger
Gene added : Eyes+2, Walking+1, Skeleton+1
Gene removed : Swimming -1
Description: As the legger family continue to show up they continue to adapt to more land based lives. Going longer on land the leggers have started loosing their ability to swim but still not completely still able to cross rivers and small water barriers quickly to reach new food sources. Their eye sight evolved further as their eyes grew while moving to the sides of the head giving them the sight of all surrounding - good when your looking for the numerous predators all the time. To handle the life on land better their skeleton grew stronger and thicker as their bodies structure improved. As time went by as been happening in the last eras the Leggers continued to walk better, and outrun their predators when they can see them coming...

Alright, ill soon be starting work on the next update. If anyone has anything else to post, please do so soon :)

Spoiler Mu :
Black Aurora: North King
Evolved from: Fire Raider
Genes (27): Eating Dead Thingsx1, Complex Stomachx1, Flesh eating x3, Lungs x2, Vibration Sense x1, Eyes x3, Flying x5, Crawling x1, Talons x2, Jaws x1, Cartilage x1, Skeleton x2, Water Retention x2, Cold Resistance x1, Brain Power x1
Description: The Black Aurora made a quantum leap in internal design from the Longbays, and was thus afforded its own new genus. The cartilage had been largely replaced by hollow bones, whose honeycombed structure allowed them to be almost as strong as solid bone, while being far lighter. In addition, the digestive tract evolved further than ever before: the Aurora was able to scavenge in addition to eating smaller prey.

Thundering Aurora: North King
Evolved from: Black Aurora
Gene added (you can add 3): Pack Huntingx1, Communal Behaviorx1, Brain Powerx1
Gene removed (optional, remove up to 3 or 4 with bonus): Eating Dead Thingsx1
Description: The Aurora family roared into a new branch as the Thundering Aurora took up pack hunting. Small fliers, comparatively speaking, their numbers cloud the skies, and can make quick work of most anything that stands in their way.

Spoiler :
Rivervalion: The Farow
Evolved from: Mouthavalion
Genes (26): Plankton Eating x1, Complex Stomach x1, Flesh Eating x2, Vibration Sense x2, Eyes x2, Brain Power x1, Skeleton x1, Cartilage x1, Jaws x3, Fangs x1, Communal Behaviour x2, Crawling x1, Water Retention x1, Lungs x1, Walking x1, Scales x1, Digging x1, Hibernation x1, Swimming x2
Description: As the Karakavalion returned to the water so did its smaller cousins the mouthavalion. The legs evolved into more fin like appendages and its tail became longer for whipping in the water for speed. These small (otter sized) groups of creatures hunted for plankton and smaller prey in the estuaries and rivers. Also, utilizing their ancestors abilities to dig they nest along river banks where they lay their eggs in deep holes. Hoping, to dominate the river banks this young species sets out to survive.

Cephrivervalion: The Farow
Evolved from: Riveravalion
Gene added: Brain Power x1, Complex Stomach x1, Communal Behavior x1, Parenting Instinct x1, Swimming x1
Gene removed:
Description: The riveravalion went through a period of enlargement of the brain which gave it new social abilities. In order to increase the chance of survival amonst the young the pack of creatures would cooperate to protect the nest from egg raiders. As the eggs hatched the young would also be protected by the larger adults. To support the new brain the hunting abilities were substantially increased through greater cooperation and speedier swimming capabilites.

Cool :) but, you added five genes there. You have a bonus, which gives you +1 normal, but the normal is 3. So you can only add 4, im afraid :(

As the +1 complex stomach seems least important, i will ignore that, unless you say otherwise.

Knogano: Luckymoose
Evolved from: Kanenian
Genes (33): Complex Stomach x2, Flesh Eating x2, Vibration Sense x2, Eyes x2, Brain Power x4, Skeleton x2, Cartilage x2, Jaws x2, Fangs x1, Communal Behaviour x1, Water Retention x2, Lungs x2, Walking x2, Digging x1, Feathers x2, Strength x3, Claws x1
Description: Smarter, more streamlined. This beast has begun to perfect the form of previous generations. Brain growing in size along with more powerful lungs allow for longer running and quick thinking to catch and utterly overpower the enemy. The claws are long and curved. In an attempt to hold prey down with the back legs. The feather color has become more of a dull green on the mass of the body, excluding red feathers on the head. The new thinking power continues to evolve the pack type hunting of previous generations and now they are able to more efficiently understand one another when ambushing larger animals. Though still not perfect. They are becoming more and more open to the outside environments, still calling home to the jungles. Giving them the opportunity to migrate when possible. They eat nearly anything they can catch.

Evolution Template:
Kynora : Luckymoose
Evolved from: Knogano
Gene added : Complex Stomach x2, Flesh Eating x1
Gene removed (optional, remove up to 3 or 4 with bonus):
Description: After the limited success of its previous direct ancestors, the complex stomach was expanded on to help keep the growing energy needs of this creature coming in. Better able to digest and effectively extract nutrients from flesh of both immediately dead and dieing animals. The brain power is similar to the previous generations only this time the amount of energy to run it is successfully taken from less amounts of food. Giving the creature more time to mate and skirmish with other males over mates. A large bone and skull structure in the head and spine gives it the ability to clash neck and head with other males when pure biting power isn't enough. The males have brightly colored chest feathers to bring in mates while the females are dull gray.

Hunter bug: RFHolloway
Evolved from: spring bug
New Genes (3): Vibration Sense x1, Flesh Eating x1, Enzyme secretion x1
The hunter bug was better at detecting its prey than the spring bug. It also had developed the ability to secrete its digestive enzymes though its mouth, thereby aiding decomposition of dead things and also helping it to digest living prey.

Emerald Omnipoteel: Thlayli
Evolved From: Silver Intelieel
Genes (24): Swimming x3, Flesh Eating x3, Vibration Sense x3, Strength x2, Large Size x2, Razor Scales x2, Scales x1, Eyes x1, Pressure Resistance x1, Cold Resistance x1, Smelling x1, Communal Behavior x1, Brain Power x1, Pack Hunting x1, Electrolocation x1
Description: Population pressures pushed the Intelieels to become even larger, rivalling even the Globefinns in size and power. Omnipoteel groupings, or 'satraps,' covered huge stretches of ocean territory in their hunt for prey, and adopted an efficient cycle of gorging on migratory fish, and then digesting their meals in the deep ocean for long periods of time. Their advanced vibration-sensing tentacles gained bioluminesence, and generated an electric field to further improve their detection senses. The tentacles may also be used as a form of communication.

Added: Large Size x1, Flesh Eating x1, Electrolocation x1

Daft, I'd like to suggest a coastal version of the Slasheel that has an amphibious capability.

Your right daft, I thought I still had one left. Dropping complex stomach is fine.

Did it in a hurry because I thought we only had a few minutes left to get them in :).

Thanks for the new stuff! :)

Did it in a hurry because I thought we only had a few minutes left to get them in .

Ah sorry about that :o. I cant update this is a single evening. What i meant was I will be working on it over the next few days :o

OK, doing these pics takes a long time, whether they turn out good or not. This really may be the last time they are so 'detailed'.

Still got a few things to draw, and still working on the actual update!

Hunter Bulgorb looks rather vicious. Looking forward to the next update!

WOW amazing pics as usual. No need to be that detailed thought really... Even half of this would probably look AMAZING. Don't color from now own... they would probably save some time to.

My dude looks sad.

And not a clone Lucky. A clone implies sameness.

He's better

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
