Armenians 8
Ashanti 20 (23 - 3) Playing field finally leveled.
Burmese 19
Nubians 6
Phoenicians 18 (17 + 1) I'm interesting into seeing what Firaxis does with their writing system.
Swahili/Kilwa 15
Tibetans 21
Vietnamese 6

Please note; I pretty much always vote at around 9pm NZ time (12 hours ahead of Greenwich). I couldn't vote then tonight, but I will return to that time tomorrow.

Armenians 9 (8+1)
Ashanti 17 (20-3)
Burmese 19
Nubians 6
Phoenicians 18
Swahili/Kilwa 15
Tibetans 21
Vietnamese 6

Voting for that ancient empire as I have done before. And I think I'd rather the Kilwa get in than the Ashanti...

Armenians 9
Ashanti 17 + 1 = 18 Ashanti is still the most potential civ on this list, in my opinion.
Burmese 19
Nubians 6 - 3 = 3 After two consecutive negative votes for Swahili/Kilwa, I'm going to change this time to Nubians. Nothing against them, it would be great to see them in the game, but choices should be made. And they already seem close to falling and I do not want Vietnam to fall sooner than them.
Phoenicians 18
Swahili/Kilwa 15
Tibetans 21
Vietnamese 6

Armenians 9
Ashanti 18
Burmese 19
Nubians 4 (3+1) I really wanted to vote for something else, but I take the chance and buy them one more hit
Phoenicians 18
Swahili/Kilwa 15
Tibetans 18 (21-3) just because I think they are so unlikely to ever get into the game. they would be an awesome civ. But I think all others here would be a welcome addition as well.
Vietnamese 6

Armenians 9
Ashanti 18
Burmese 19
Nubians 5 (4+1) They're really a major civilization, much more than they are getting credit for. TSL concerns don't seem so extreme when you consider how Poland is already wedged in there between Germany and Russia, or the Arabia and Egypt situation, or Macedon next to Greece. It's just going to happen until they give us a double-size TSL map.
Phoenicians 18
Swahili/Kilwa 15
Tibetans 18
Vietnamese 3 (6-3) Tough choices and all that.

Armenians 10 (9 + 1) -- It is clear we're talking about the ancient kingdom, not the modern state, right?
Ashanti 18
Burmese 16 (19 - 3) -- Sorry, Burma, but I'm still rooting for Siam.
Nubians 5
Phoenicians 18
Swahili/Kilwa 15
Tibetans 18
Vietnamese 3

Armenians 10
Ashanti 18
Burmese 16
Nubians 5
Phoenicians 18 + 1 = 19 I never understood why the Phoenicians were never a playable civ in any Civ game; among the top traders in the Ancient and Classical era, invented what would later become the alphabet, what's not to like?
Swahili/Kilwa 15
Tibetans 18
Vietnamese 3 - 3 = ELIMINATED I prefer Siam or the Khmer

Armenians 10
Ashanti 18
Burmese 16
Nubians 5-3=2 they are too similar to Egypt and right between them and Ethiopia that's surely coming back we need to cover other sides of Africa
Phoenicians 19
Swahili/Kilwa 15
Tibetans 18+1=19 Tibet has a unique culture that has to be represented who cares of what China says

Armenians 10 - 3 = 7 Yes, it is clear we are discussing *both* the ancient and modern states. My earlier post focused on the ancient state, a Caucasian state in Europe and Asia that seems too culturally similar to Scythia as currently portrayed in Civ, even down to the cavalry-emphasis.
Ashanti 18
Burmese 16
Nubians 2
Phoenicians 19
Swahili/Kilwa 15
Tibetans 19 + 1 = 20 Tibet deserves to be heard and seen as something more than just a group of snow-tousled monks that fled from China. Once they ruled parts of China and were quite militarily powerful. In addition, the potential for cultural and religious bonuses is quite enticing, so I will upvote them again since it seems Ashanti is safe for now (people appear to have heard of/read up on them somewhat).

Armenians 7
Ashanti 18
Burmese 16
Nubians (2+1)=3 Nubia's last stand :D
Phoenicians 19
Swahili/Kilwa (15-3)=12 Not enough info on their leaders, and I don't want a man of Persian origin leading them
Tibetans 20

Armenians 7-3=4 Same as before
Ashanti 18
Burmese 16
Nubians 3
Phoenicians 19
Swahili/Kilwa 12
Tibetans 20+1=21 I do not want my games to be told what to do by China. It's an interesting culture and deserves to be in game.

Armenians 5 (4 +1) sounds like a great option
Ashanti 18
Burmese 16
Phoenicians 19
Swahili/Kilwa 12
Tibetans 19 (22-3) I like the possibility, but seems unrealistic to expect them to ever get in.

Armenians 5
Ashanti 18
Burmese 16
Phoenicians 19
Swahili/Kilwa 12 -3 = 9 (to give Ashanti the top spot!)
Tibetans 19+1 = 20 (We need to give Tibet representation and ignore Chinese pride)

Armenians 5
Ashanti 15 - I put Ashanti in the same bracket as Zulu, except without the Civ history that recommends the latter. They're both interesting but far too small to warrant inclusion over the other five here.
Burmese 16
Phoenicians 19
Swahili/Kilwa 9
Tibetans 21 - Historical truth is more important than marketing.

Armenians 6 (5+1)
Ashanti 12 (15-3)
Burmese 16
Phoenicians 19
Swahili/Kilwa 9
Tibetans 21

Same reasons as before.

Armenians 6
Ashanti 12 - 3 = 9 Don't get me wrong, I'd like for them to be included, but they don't have a patch on Nubia or some of the other options that should come first.
Burmese 16
Phoenicians 19 + 1 = 20 Pretty major civ. I wouldn't even have a problem seeing both them and Carthage together, esp. if we're getting 50+ civs this time around.
Swahili/Kilwa 9
Tibetans 21

Armenians 6
Ashanti 9 + 1 = 10 It remains as my civ number one here.
Burmese 16
Phoenicians 20
Swahili/Kilwa 9 - 3 = 6 Because choices have to be made, and it does not interest me as much as others.
Tibetans 21

Armenians 7 (6 + 1) -- Same reasons I've expounded throughout this thread.
Ashanti 10
Burmese 16
Phoenicians 20
Swahili/Kilwa 6
Tibetans 18 (21 - 3) -- An interesting civilization, but it's never going to happen and there are more interesting choices. When it comes to South Asia, I'd rather see a second Indian leader.

Armenians 8 (7+1) - Because anyone who names one of their Border Forts "Kiss My A**" In The Enemy Language deserves to be in the game somewhere...
Ashanti 10
Burmese 16
Phoenicians 17 (20 - 3) - Because, except for Carthage, the 'Phoenician State' was always collection of utterly independent City States, and Civ games have never handled that well at all
Swahili/Kilwa 6
Tibetans 18
