I personally would welcome Bohemia/Czech (rich history and variety leaders to pick, like Charles IV, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, Přemysl Otakar II or Václav II), if there will be another elimination thread of never before seen civs.
I think the OP should just pick a batch of Civs and get us going again. A lot of interesting discussion in this thread while playing the game. In cases where there are multiple overlapping Civs for a region just pick one and then we can see how another does next round. Let's not overthink it.
Okay, moving forward with Round 2 without further ado. If your favorite civ still didn't make the list, fear not. We can do a Round 3 as well if there's still interest.
Round 2
Argentines 20-3=17 Same as with Mexico, not really that interested in post-colonial nations as far as Civ is concerned.

Why Canada ? Because
Sorry, the joke was too strong to not do it. But anyway, I far prefer Argentina for a modern civ, and we're having too many anglais-saxon civs.
Why Bulgaria ? Because their empire was one of the greatest at their time. They had a wonderful literature, defeated the byzantines many times, and were the strongest power in eastern Europe.

The Etruscans are an interesting culture, but we certainly don't need to be dividing up European countries into ever smaller cultures! Especially since it's quite likely we'll get some later Italian civ (whether blobbed or a city-state empire like Venice or Genoa).
Let me throw another vote on the Pacific Northwest. My top pick for an unexplored area and culture for the Civ franchise. Plus their UU could wear this awesome armour:-
Argentines 18 Benin (Dahomey)/Benin (Nigeria) 20 + 1 = 21 I really really really want a Benin (Nigeria) civ led by Queen Idia. Plus, their UB and UU are quite obvious : their walls, and the Queen's Own, the queen's elite guard.

Why did you include my post? I didn't claim Minoa was Greek; I said we know too little about them, which is true: we have no language, no leader names. Linear A and Minoan Hieroglyphics aren't going to be deciphered any time soon. And I'm pretty certain every other objection Greek civs was aimed at Mycenae not Minoa.
