huge map, with 10 players, and the game often would spawn them practically next to each other. Even though there are plenty of space availible all over. Is there a way I can increase the distance of the initial spawn such that all players are more or less the same distance from each other?
what map are you using ?

Allows units to enter other players' territory without Open Borders as long as they don't end the turn there

Doesn't seem to work

Add <Row Class="5" Name="CORE_RELAXED_BORDER_CHECK" Value="1"/> to CustomModOptions.xml to activate the option. I know this has been posted before, but for simplicity sake:

Played as India, it was so weak as to not even be fun, or thematic anymore. They just go on as a Civ not worth playing as.

Don't have to add anymore, the option is in there with the lastest update. Just have to edit the value to a '1'.

For reference, the location for the xml file is:

Mod list? It's weird having two regions overlap.

I posted the mod list. It is mostly vp custom civ. I disabled unique city states because it is not yet compatible. More wonders is also not compatible, but I've deleted the assignedstartplot file of that mod as a workaround.

Ahh, that's good to hear. Does LUA run more efficiently now that the database has been cleaned up?

Yeah I've had this happen in a lot of my games recently. It's a pain. I always save my first load, then if by turn X I notice something like this I restart, then activate ingame editor and relocate the offending nation to a better location. That isn't easy mind you, as once you switch to another civ in the ingame editor you can't move the map around. Not the best solution but nearly better than a restart which could yield the exact same problem.

Also, doesn't matter what map I select, happens in them all.

Why am I stuck being unable to construct the Reformation building?
The tooltip says I need two more global followers of my religion. In the course of recent 10 turn I've increased the number of followers from 156 to 162, but the tooltip still says I need two more followers, just like it did when I had 156 followers.

Another example of weird starting spawn. 3 civs are placed on one continent. Despite there being plenty of space, the goths and arabia are placed right next to one another.

I try to get more space with low seas (pangea) but yes sometimes I get spawns way too close.
Would be great if there was a way to force max start distances in maps.

You need 15% of the global population to build the wonder, but you seem to only have around 11%. I'm not sure what the tooltip is trying to say, I've also had that issue. I thought it might mean 2% more followers, but it seems like you need 4% more here. This might be accounted for by the map size scaling?

On small map is worse. 3 civ all near my settler (around within 3 spaces away)

The start distance problem seems new, Just recently on my custom Oval I got a 6/2 then 7/1 right/left distribution and historically I don't think I remember worse than 5/3. (4.4.1)
