I've just played an Inca game. You know what they need? Some way of dealing with bloody sheep. What would be a fantastic terrace tile can be utterly ruined by sheep. I've no idea if it's possible, but invariably there are tiles that would be better as terraces, ruined by the fluffy bastards!

That's actually one of the main reasons why I want to get rid of the 'per mountain' adjacency bonus, some sheep-placements just kills me.
If all terrace-farms next to any mountain were equally good this would not be anywhere near as big of an issue, as that sheep with 5 adjacent mountains is just as bad as a sheep with 1 adjacent mountain.

If only we had a 3d resource model of a llama...

You might want to check out Whoward's Herdsmen mod, that allows you to move animal resources to different tiles.

Quick question.

I just installed the new beta after deleting all the old stuff/cache/moduser and checking my integrity of local files on steam (because I was having same UI issues as others are reporting.

Mods 1-6 are in my mods folder. When I click in game to activate them, mod 6 (eu compatability patch) does not show up. I can't work out why or what I've done wrong. Any ideas what it might be?

EDIT: yup this is the same issue I've had since the beginning of this beta. Symptoms: happiness bar not working; tourism menu borked & no 'SWAPTIMISE!' buttons; no monopoly tab on economy/happiness window. My issue happens EACH time I download the mod and unzip the various components with 7zip. It's not a once off. And I'm not the only one with this issue.

Sounds like you aren't installing/enabling the EUI-Compatibility file?

G

Exactly. It's in my mod folder but does not show up in the setup mod screen in game. Screenshot below.

This time I made sure I installed correctly; I deleted all old CP and EUI files, deleted the Cache and the Moduserdata folder, let Steam check file integrity. Copied the new beta files into the Mods folder, deleted LUA folders from CP and CBP, and copied EUI into the DLC folder.
I'm sorry to report that I still occasionally get the glitch where the trade window has invisible items and/or items that don't visibly react to being clicked on from my or their list.
Anything I can do?

Remove it from your mod folder and put it back in your mod folder?
G
That didn't work unfortunately. I guess I'll wait for the next version with the automatic installer. What a strange problem - I wonder why its just affecting me and possibly some other people who reported similar symptoms (happiness popup not active)?

Try deleting your moduserdata and cache again, remove all files from MODS folder, load up civ, and THEN put them back in there.

If I wanted to cheat I'd just use the In-Game Editor tool. I run it anyway with CBP just in case something odd happens. In recent games it's gone unused.

Thanks for the link. I had already tried that. Must be just a weird glitch with my setup and system. I'll give CIV a break for a week then try again. It'll do me good anyway to get some exercise!
