Well, I was not expecting a Vietnamese leader. Cool choice! Her model and animations look great as well.

She looks fantastic, let's hope everyone looks like this behind the scenes. I love the bonuses too, this definitely appeals to my general playstyle... maybe I should play the Khmer first instead of China.

I'm at work so I can't listen to the narration but...

...please tell me they address why she looks so, so horribly wrong? Why is that jian/kiem curved? What's up with the cloth wrap being reinterpreted as a crown of sorts? Why the much, much later triangular top piece? And her dress?
Last time we had the design based on modern stereotypes but this doesn't really fit those, nor does it fit the period and culture she actually lived in. :sad:

It's also another agenda that's going to boil down, in actual gameplay, to "hates empires larger than hers, likes empires smaller than hers".
well that depends…if you expanded peacefully fast, she would like your big peaceful empire, and she would actually hate a small civ that keeps getting in wars.

but overall yes (and it seems to be a small predictable effect … that only applies to the highest and lowest)

Bit of a strange choice for a leader. As far as I'm aware, all she did was lead a rebellion, which lasted for two years and was crushed within a year of troops being mobilized.

That seems to have been good enough for Boudica. 😅

So Siam would duke out against Dai Viet in this game? FINALLY! My dream comes true!

What is Era 1 iterations of VN?

if Le Dynasty is Age II (Expansionist, territory extended southward)
and Nguyen is Age III (An archnemesis to Siam Kingdom of Rattanakosin era even to this day, effectively relaced Irrawadian Empires of Ayutthaya era as archrivals).

Well the First Stele in Sukhothai said that King Ramkamhaeng's mother came from Luong Family.

I don't like her to lead Siam later on!
to be honest. even if King Ramkhamhaeng of Sukhothai himself is half Viet. he never identify himself as such. his language would be Tai-Lao ones.

there'd better be 'a southern Kingdom that did resist BOTH Qin and Han' and a name has to be picked. i'm not really good at VN history either but their seat could be at He Nui City.

Leader =/= Civ
Vietnam leader will probably not lead Vietnam (not until we are at ~60 civs instead of 30-39)
