Week 21, 1915

Ottoman Empire:

Road near Batum shelled by Turkish CL. Turkish CA dies while trying to sink a French Pre-Dreadnought near Crete.

Near Jerusalem Turkish Counter battery dies trying to kill a British Light Artillery. French fleet in the Dardanelles shelled by remnants of the Turkish navy.

Austria-Hungary:

Italian Transport near Tirana sunk by Austrian DD Flotilla. Austrian cavalry dies while trying to storm the Italian positions outside Venice. Our artillery scored a couple of hits but not much damage caused.

Then near Lublin a Russian Cossack was attack by an Austrian Rifle A which dies. Another Rifle A arrives and kills the Cossack.

Germany:

The long awaited naval contest between Great Britain and Germany has begun. German BB first engages and sinks the Queen Elizabeth class BB. Then two Kaiser class BB's die attacking the main British fleet that just reduced Lubeck to ruin. The rest of the German fleet successfully sinks 3 Iron Dukes, 4 Dreadnoughts, and 1 Pre-Dreadnought. Other ships are shelled by German Dreadnoughts.

British Cavalry in our borders is attacked by a German Rifle A which redlines the cavalry. Another Rifle attacks and finishes off the cavalry which fled the first Rifle. Big guns are brought against Freyburg next weakening him down to 13HP. Then Army Group Lodz dies a miserable death only bringing down Freyburg to 10HP. Another German Army comes in and finishes Freyburg. More German Armies arrive killing 2 Rifle A and 4 Rifle R units.

Italian positions outside Venice are shelled by Trench artillery and then 3 Italian MGs are destroyed by two German Armies one of which was created this turn when the German Marine killed a Neutral Rifle near Hamburg generating a leader. The new army group name is Kiel in honor of our abused city at the hands of the British fleet.

The populations of Kiel and Lubeck are quickly replaced by captured workers from the Entente powers. We will put those citizens to work to rebuild our devastated cities.

Do you think they will be happy to work there for you? You will discover it hard way soon :)!
Also did my Queen die without prior shelling in single 1 vs 1 fight???? :crazyeye:

...did my Queen die without prior shelling in single 1 vs 1 fight...

Yes, I could not afford to waste time bombarding. Each of my ships had to kill something unless the fight stood no chance of winning. So I sent a Kaiser class straight into the duel with your QE BB.

Don't worry, I know how to handle unruly mobs. LOL

The Nicolas Gang takes out the R/R in the Hayfields NE of Varna. The Batu/yerevan Road is no more. Kars, which sits in between the two towns has had it's roads demolished by the Ottoan forces that surround the City.
______________________________________________

The Paris takes out the R/R NE of Dede-Agach. The Danton takes out the factory there and the road that led to it. The Vergniaud takes out the road West of Dede-Agach.

In Liege, a 155mm takes 1HP from a Landwehr Division standing alone in the grass NE of the city. A second 155mm takes 2HP fro it. Then a Cavalry unit rides out, kills the red-lined unit, and returns to Liege.

Sorry for the delay guys... Probably will play later tonight...

Not a problem. I dug up an old copy of Ghost Recon. I'm back in the groove.

Britain

Royal Navy saw lot's of actions this turn:

* Newly trained Veteran Sub from Scapa Flow run into what we believe german submarine and sink it.

* Near Holland German DD was sunk by underwater explosion

* British CL sunk something near German Baltic coast, generating survivors.

* Another German "something" was sunk by British "something" near Copenhagen

* The Battle of Copenhagen continues with Royal Navy shelling High Seas Fleet from the high range. Lot's of misses, but some most dangerous ships get yellowlined. The only close range action was 6 HP Ajax vs 9 HP (Elite) Koning class BB. Ajax won, but barely survived with 1 HP left.

* Turkish destroyer was sunk by British BC north of Egypt, but British ship lost 5 HPs!

Planes failed to hit anything around Jerusalem.

BEF and Egypt Army retreating this turn.

Italy

After some shelling of German positions in Isonzo Vineyard Cadorna and Trieste Corps kill 1 R and 1 L German division.

2 CBs were lost to kill 1 Elite Austrian light gun.

Week 22, 1915

Ottoman Empire:

Arab Rebel killed in Mesopotamia.

French Submarine detected near Gallipoli and sunk. No survivors. The sub was sunk by a Turkish CL. Then the Gangut was shelled by another CL. French Semi-Dreadnought sunk by mine near Gallipoli.

Kemal attacks and defeats Russian Rifle R and Cossack near Kut.

Austria-Hungary:

An unknown object sunk near Bari by Austrian DD Flotilla. On the Venice front an Italian counter battery is destroyed by Austrian counter battery. Italian Light Artillery also destroyed by Austrian counter battery. Russian worker captured near Lublin.

Germany:

The naval battle rages on! A few of the battered German ships proceed to shell and attack the British stack near Copenhagen. One Orion Class BB sunk and one BC sunk by German ships.

Venice - Massive artillery and trench artillery bombardment of Italian positions outside of Venice. 6000 (6) tear gas shells are fired into the Italians causing a lot of wounded men. Then two German armies supported by troops attack. The stack is eliminated for the loss of 1 German Rifle A and 2 German Rifle R.

You mean my ENTIRE Isonzo stack? :crazyeye:

A Russian AC takes out the R/R 2 tiles NE of Memel. In Yerevan, an R-Inf dies attacking a Turk Inf outside the city, but the 2nd R-Inf gets hims. Two R-Inf die against a lone Turk Inf out on the road West of the city.

In Lublin, an LA takes a HP from an A-Inf. Ditto. Ditto. A Cossack rides out to kill the redlined unit and then returns. That ended the Russian turn.
__________________________________________________

When I tried to load the French turn, the game crashed. Then it crashed two more times. Russian save sent to Tigranes for inspection.
EDIT: Save fixed and returned.

At the German Border by Strassburg, an R-Inf unit is seen digging in. Artillery is sent to the area to dispatch them. Three 155mms each take 1HP from the unit and an Elite A-Inf moves through the barbed-wire trench system clearing them out. Support units are then brought in to secure the trenches.

West of Constandamnople, a French Semi-Dreadnought sinks a Sub (or some unknown object), and rescues the survivors.

Oh, no! It's a first time French turn crashes. If I only knew WHY those city growth boxes causing the crash. It takes like an hour to locate the "wrong" city, grrrr....

Britain

Protracted naval battle of Copenhagen is finally over this week. Royal Navy sacrificed the few remaining enact armored cruisers to rescue the remaining of the Grand Fleet out of that terrible Baltic waters.

During this turn British lost 5 CAs, but sunk 4 BBs, 1 BC, 1 CA and 1 CL.

One sub was lost trying to attack German CL near the west coast of Denmark.

After some research Admiralty ended up with the following Before -After situation of this greatest naval battle in the history of mankind:

Week 20 order of battle and week 22 aftermath
(excluding DDs, subs and mines)

BBs
Grand Fleet: 16 (including 1 newest veteran 700 shield worth Queen Elisabeth, 2 Iron Dukes and one old Elite dreadnought) --> 6, all the mentioned ships were lost
High Seas Fleet: 13 (including 4 Konigs) --> 6 (only 1 Elite Konig lost)

BCs
Grand Fleet: 1 --> 0
High Seas Fleet: 2 --> 1

CAs
Grand Fleet: 8 --> 3
High Seas Fleet: 1 in training (to join during week 22) --> 0

CLs
Grand Fleet: 2 --> 2
High Seas Fleet: 3 --> 2

Countless Survivors were generated and picked by both sides.

Overall Admiralty concluded that home waters, better ship stats and shore artillery helped Germans to score a remarkable but bloody victory. However official propaganda focused on humiliation Germans experienced at Kiel and Lubeck, and proclaimed British raid a great blow to Germany, focusing on 2 Ruhr Factories and 1 Submarine Yard forever lost by Germany.

In Mediterranean Turkish DD was sunk by British BC, and a road was bombed by our planes.

Italy

Italian forces virtually seize to exist after the Isonzo/Caporeto disaster last turn. We still think trench and barbed wire are too week in this scenario. Or perhaps Italian stats need some revision. Italy is thinking about secret separate peace with Centrals...

Anyways, meanwhile there is nothing to report except for shelling German victors by Regina Marina.

gps Cyc

Quick update since I'm pressed for time tonight. Sorry guys.

Ottomans:

Lawrence of Arabia detected in the Arabian desert south east of Jerusalem. Infantry attacked first but he got away. Army Group Batlajan sent down to finish him off. English worker near Basra captured by Sipahi. French Semi Dreadnought shelled by Light Artillery then a Turkish CL before being sunk by a CA. Survivors interned in Gallipoli.

Austria:

Nothing to report.

Germany:

Artillery shells French stack outside of Strassburg before two German armies move in to kill 2 French Rifle R. German Counter battery dies while trying to attack a French 155mm.

In the North, a Gangut takes out the R/R SW of Danzig.
________________________________________________

At Strassburg, 155mm takes 1HP from R-Inf. 155mm takes 1HP from A-Inf. 155mm takes 2 HP from R-Inf. 155mm takes 2HP from A-Inf. 155mm takes 1HP from A-Inf. 155mm fails. 155mm takes 1HP to A-Inf. Ditto. 155mm takes 2HP from A-Inf. 155mm takes 1HP from Alliance MG.

In the Adriatic, The massive Vergniaud sees an Ottoman AC floundering outside the Dede-Agach Harbor. The young Commander heads straight for the Ottoman ship and runs right into an Ottoman Submarine. Young but experienced, the Commander earns himself a promotion by deftly sinking the sub. He then picks up the survivors and steams away.

Britain

Rather uneventeful turn in part because losses our forces endured during the previous turns. BEF recovering slowly, but steadily.

British BC sunk something near the northern coast of Egypt. Also something sunk something near the Palestain coast.

2 Ligh Horses attacked Turkish Infantry division near jerualem to knock out only 1 HP and withdraw.

Italy

Same as Britain -- rather uneventeful. Our 21/21 Corps killed 1 Austrian Infantry, but took heavy losses down to 1-2 HP!

Week 24, 1915

Ottoman Empire:

2 British Cavalry defeated in the deserts south of Jerusalem. One by Army Group Loxum and the other by Army Group Toshev. A spy was detected near Adalia and dispatched by a Turkish Rifle.

British Transport mysteriously explodes near Nikosia. No survivors.

Austria-Hungary:

Gangut shelled in the Baltic losing 1 HP.

Venice - German army defeats two Italian Rifle R units.

Strassburg - French trenches shelled heavily then German armies move in to defeat 4 French Rifle R units.

Mostly Naval activity this week. An AC takes out a road North of Meml. A Gangut sails into the Danzig area to shell the coast, but finds the Germans have tied Workers to the Railroad, trying to tempt the Russian ship to slaughter them. But it turns and sails back out.
___________________________________________

French troops are brought back from Strassburg. A Pre-Dreadnaught shells and craters the hills South of Smyrna.

gps to Tigranes.

One still can shell the road with worker and damage road, but you can never demage 0 defense unit with bombardemet...

Hmmm. I thought the unit would have protected the road-R/R even if it was a zero defensive unit.
