Hi guys! Reading the changelog of 3.7.7 I read for the first time that you can play multiplayer with this mod??

Please could somebody tell me how to play this mod with another player? Or pls link me info about multyplayer with this mod
I'm noob so I'll be apreciate for for detailed information

You can find modpacks and information in this thread. Multiplayer is still a work in progress, so you can expect some instability while using it.
 
Oh hey, I know you! A friend invited me to a tournament you hosted back in like 2016 but I couldn't make it and lost interest later. Small world.

Anyway, the FAQ thread points to this reddit post with the instructions and a link to the Steam Workshop with an illustrated guide. Although I think you need to do an additional step (after you've done everything from that link) for the mod's new UI buttons to properly display - delete InGame.lua from your modpack\Mods\Community Patch\Core Files\Core Lua. Feel free to ask if you need any more details or PM me if you want anything translated.

You can also try to look around in the multiplayer threads on this forum to find a ready-made modpack, I think I've seen one posted somewhere, but can't remember exactly.

as i understand everytime a new vers. of community patch is relesed i should repack my 'modpack' to play multiplayer in actual vers.? damn it's too annoying i guess... So better play with AI?? But thanks for the answer, i'll read the link you dropped
 
Reading through PrimaryEspionageEvents.xml and sometimes it says:

<IgnoreLocalForeignSpies>1</IgnoreLocalForeignSpies>

while other times it says:

<IgnoreLocalForeignSpies>true</IgnoreLocalForeignSpies>

Does it make any difference?
 
I don't really understand how spies/counter work in newest VP, it seems to differ much from January/March versions.
I was first to get to Renaissance so I placed counterspy in my capital and made a network for +50% chance to catch other spies. It's about 50+ turns and I didn't catch any.
Now I see that I have 313 GPT in expenses from spying and I have 321 GPT in net income while I'm in a GA. Before GA I had income 150+200 and expenses from spies 115 GPT.
Seems as GA would be over I will go to negative GPT.
How counterspies work now? Is it possible to catch any spies? I have built constabulary as it was available.
My other 2 spies just got promoted to 2 rank - should I switch them? I play on epic speed.

Well, now it's 25-30 turns more, I made peace from 3-side war. Entered and made to middle of EE, sending 8 TR, allied to 10 out of 32 CS. Placed level 3 counterspy in my capital, made a network for +50% counter 25 turns ago.
Thought that I do better at money, was losing 198 GPT, now have one more spy succeded in capital and I lose 504 GPT from spies and have 133 GPT in a GA.

Seems somehow I can't get any spies caught.
I amend my previous post as in current game I'm in information age I'm losing $1500 in espionage in 6 different cities plus numerous faith and science steals- I have all security buildings built and upgraded spies in the cites - so I think something is off - hopefully the new espionage proposals will fix. ( I still think it is better than lump sum though as when England was captured I got $500 back)
 
There's exactly 0 espionage proposal this congress.
 
3.7.8 is unplayable until the bug about demanding tribute from city states is fixed.

It's possible I made a mistake during installation, but I noticed in this newest version the event system doesn't seem to work, whether on multiplayer or single player. If you'd like more details just let me know!
 
Does the casus belli resolution actually do anything anymore?

I recall after it was fixed last year sometime you noticed a difference. Now I still seem to me maxing out warmongering after a couple cities and it doesn't SEEM to be decaying any faster than normal?

The only thing that seems to change is the AI willingness to start wars while it's active.

Not sure if it's bugged again or it's just me.

What do you mean 'doesn't seem to work'? It seems to be working fine here on 3.7.8 on a new game.

For me and my friend, whenever the make event choice pops up, it's impossible to click on it to open the menu. This happened to me in both single player and multiplayer

Are you using MODSPACK? I had this when I incorrectly created MODSPACK. At the same time, when starting a new game through MODS, everything worked correctly.

Do what I do & just turn espionage off. Makes the game so much nicer. Spying hasn't worked for a long time properly.

Yep. Just tried that, works fine with mods but not with MODSPACK

So the point is how you created MODSPACK. I would recommend downloading one from discord (they post regularly in the multiplayer thread), and compare with yours. Maybe you haven't deleted the ingame.lua file or something with the EUI folders. This is what the folders should look like (Although folders UI_bc1;VPUI may be in DLC):

I'd be interested in your option and observations. Could you be more specific? Do you mean counter-spying is the only part not working or other parts of the Espionage system are also not working?
For me (Obviously, i may not be noticing other parts that are off) - the Spying system is working as it should, except for counter-spying.

I find the whole thing annoying. If you are doing well or hated, everyone comes after you, either stealing or worse casuing damage to youe cities, & there is nothing you can do about it. Obtain all the spy buildings, put spies in your cities. None of it works. Even if you catch one, they are back in goes as just get another spy. This is even so playing England. Personally, this should be good reason to start a war, but if you do you are the agressor. I just constantly war them & teach them a lesson.

The CS shenanigans is still overpowered despite needing two goes now, & soon control them.

I expect alot of people like playing on higher levels where they are behind, & if you do that, the AI is unlikley to go after you, so don't notice the problems as much. Why should you be disadavantaged because you are doing well. No, it is far better in an enjoyable sense to just drop espionage completely. Shame really. I personally think spies should have lot more levels of experince, & only be able to do the most powerful decisions when they have them most experience. So if you lose a spy, a new one would take ages to get the expereince to cause lots of damage. England is handicapped by the lack of levels.
