yes but that was a long time ago, devs have changed things a bunch of times since. The recent discussion is unclear on how beliefs will be handled if they run out, though its possible G's old belief rollover handling is still intact for all i know. A new rollover method was proposed but not confirmed, as far as I've seen. I infer the recent intention is that you can now plugin any integer you want, but I'm not sure if the fix was fully baked-in as far as belief handling goes. If not, and you set number of religions too high, you may soft-lock your game when you're forced to pick beliefs from an empty list (thats how it originally worked before any fixes, in 2016-2017 era).

Let me know if you try; for me the sweetspot was around 12 religions in 43-civ so the more recent limit at 11 was close enough. I played a few games with 16 way back, no idea if this is currently possible.

If i read this right, all religion values are now done in Defines table rather than the old values that did same in worldsizes table?
I had no idea how the game would handle using up all beliefs, so that's why I put the limit of 8 in the first place.
"Route to Mode" is still borked. Worker that is ordered to build road to a tile doesn't choose the obvious shortest route
Bugs -> GitHub, please

Now if we could only do something about the fact that every game I have more aluminum than god but would literally sell a city for a couple of coal because its often so rare:)
@azum4roll
As it turns out this install issue was just an Avast shields issue. Disabling the shields allowed me to install VP.
I wouldn't use Avast if I were you. https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy...t-the-subsidiary-that-sold-all-your-web-data/

was a long time ago, guessing this stuff went away. In recent discussion there was another suggestion though it was unclear whether it would be implemented. If there's no other belief-handling in-place now for larger number of religions, would be nice to have G's fix back. I don't wanna play with more than 12 religions again (11 is fine) but the game did handle it at one point.

It averages at 7 coal per player (both Communitu_79a and ASP). +5 from Refineries and you can power up 6 cities with Factories and Seaport/Train Station.

I know you say that, but I can state with high confidence (as almost all my games are on the maps) that in actual this is often not true.

Maybe the coal is scattered in bad spots, maybe it’s too condensed to one player, I can’t say. But I can say it’s the exception rather than the rule where I get a “good” amount of coal. Slater mill is a go to wonder for me just because it’s so rare

Coal is grass/plains only (no feature). It's intended to be condensed by game design, and will need a proposal if you want to change it.

When playing with Events enabled, why does event which gives writer points happen in a city without Writer's Guild?
Getting the 600 writers points, pulling the number from memory -- I could be off, is just one of the options. You don't have to pick it. See it as an indicator as to where you will eventually build a Writer's guild. A famous writer is born, known among the land, and later a writers guild is formed in their honor. Even if you want to have all your guilds in your capital there is still room for two more. So it's not really an issue is it? Or shouldn't be.

The mysterious stranger event, or whatever it's called, that gives you artist, merchant, science or engineering points is in that regard then similar. No need for an artist guild in the city. But it's an indicator on where you might want to build one eventually, if you pick that option -- I somehow almost never do. Not sure what buildings would be required for the other options, but something with the appropriate slot I gather otherwise they would then be disabled? Nah. Works fine like it is.

It gives on Epic, Huge map 150 writer's points or 150 culture - I have no other options and all 3 Guilds were built like 15-20 turns before and I do produce more than 150 culture per turn, so second options is just waste.

Small inversion in the new icons but they look great

I made a note of mine since it was talked about.

Event in X: Dramatic Masterpiece

(1) send news, spend 800g to get 400 tourism
(2) celebrate, get 400 culture
(3) praise writers, 600 gw points
(4) pray, get 400 faith

(deity, marathon numbers)

So there should be two free options (2 and 3), (4) is only for holy city so that is a bit random since there is no guarantee it shows in the holy city and for (1) you need gold and are willing to spend it.

Overall tho I guess you just put more emphasis on building the guilds then I do, cause they are almost never in place when I get this event. Which sort of makes it easier for me, cause the city that got the event will probably get a writers guild. Perhaps that should be an option? Like the Harbor event, spend some points of something to get a Writers Guild -- perhaps you could even break the 3 limit if you pre-built 3 of them. Now you have 4!
