Two observations: The Persians are behind us on Techs. They had no other Wonder to change to when the Great Wall was completed.

Second, there may be more Vikings wandering around our island. I guess it would be the northeast area where we have few units, which is why I was sending the horseman in that direction.
 
Good that we're starting to research Astronomy and have had no other messages that civs are beginning Cop's. How many caravans have we got nearing completion? A good bonus 74g, especially since the cities are so close together but I suppose we get the early delivery bonuses. :)
Can we get that archer standing outside LC to look for any more Vikings?
 
Sounds like 3 cities should start building caravans! We need to get the next few wonders. We can always switch to something more pressing if we really have to.
 
Good that the great wall was built in Delhi and not any other indian city. This will make Delhi our first target in the war against them, especially since it allready has the pyramids. :)
 
How much money do we have, it shows Gary hasn't been here yet, and how many turns to astronomy? Should we rushbuild the caravans to be able to build cop's the turn after we discover asrtronomy, or do we save the money and wait until all the caravans are built? I'd vote for completing it the turn after:)
 
Cops costs 200g. LC finishes caravan in 2 turns, which takes 7t to reach Elysium. BF finishes caravan in 8, with 4t travel time. Thus it takes 12t for two caravans to arrive. Elysium is already 40/200 on Marco Polo's. Not considering its growth in 4t, in 12t it will be 100/200 + 2 caravans = 200/200. So Cops finishes on the 13th turn! :goodjob:

After that, Mike's is on the horizon. After Astronomy we need Polytheism + Monotheism, which should take about 16-20 turns, depending on tech availability. Mike's needs about 7 caravans to finish quickly. Build, build, build! :D

Edit: BF could finish its caravan 1 turn sooner with $11 IPRB next turn. That should finish Cops on the 12th turn. :goodjob:

On preview I see nice analysis by MonkE, and this thread is alive with questions. It feels nice to be wanted.

Mr. President, I have many questions for our Citizens, which I will pose later today. We have a general problem with growth, too many Fish, too little Iron and Forest, and potential crisis in 2 or more cities. These problems will be resolved by Mike's Chapel and Republic. There are many spare guards which could perhaps be redeployed. We still need more Caravans and Diplomats, although with our roads a Catapult is now a temptation. Our Trireme is ready to board the GG Warrior and sail East.

Researching Astronomy! (due in about 6 turns), known: Alphabet, Bronze, CBurial, CodeLaws, Construction, Currency, HBR - Horse Back Riding, Literacy, Map Making, Masonry, Mathematics, Monarchy, Mysticism, Philosophy, Pottery, Trade, WarriorCode and Writing.

The Road from REGIA CIVITAS to Castle Jayne is completed, and the branch to Civvium is nearly completed. The Central Boreum Road is completed. Our Northern cities can now ship Caravans down the river to Elysium SSC or REGIA CIVITAS.

How about a Boreum Bridge Filler City? On the River Bend, between OP Reneaux and Eboracum?

REGIA CIVITAS Demands Wine. We have just built a Wine Caravan in GG. This could waltz over to Elysium, rehime, and deliver into demand at RC. Of course, we still need the Road on the Plains N of Little Nemo for this to work best. Right, MonkE? Any other Road Trade experts wish to comment?

We badly need 5 Caravans to Elysium, but must exempt this Wine Trade Caravan. Then more Caravans to build Mike's. In the meantime, we have real growth problems, which may be solvable ... but by whom?

We have 4 cities that can build anything: Dellham, Marl Downs, Castle Jayne, and Gabba Gabba. In addition, TFalls will complete its Temple in 1 turn, RC is building a Diplomat (want a Caravan?), Roskilde Settlers in 3 turns, LC Caravan in 1 (w Iron, then Disaster?).

We have 7 Temples and 2 Libraries. Elysium has begun construction of a Wonder. Elysium has 30/300 Wonder, grows in 4, new serf to Road ok.

Oh, and we can IPRB a lot on Caravans! Nearly everywhere. Gabba Gabba is building 5 shields. That means with IPRB $11 four times ($44), it can build a Caravan every 6 turns!

We have several cities building 5 or 6 per turn. The question is, can 5 caravans arrive at Elysium in 6 turns, using the one GG Wine for Trade? I think not. But 4-5 Caravans shortly thereafter? Definitely, but we must prioritize Caravans over more Dips, another Trireme, etc.
 
I hate to be picky, but if when you said Cops is 200g, you meant shields, then you are wrong. Cop's requires 300 shields
That means the reference sheet I downloaded from Apolyton is wrong. :eek: My trust in them is shattered ... :( (Yes, I meant shields :blush: )

BTW, thanks for being picky. ;)
 
The TFalls Settler on the Forest SE of GG could move E E Charge, NE and build the Road on the Plains N of Little Nemo, probably before the Wine Caravan is delivered from Elysium to REGIA CIVITAS. Recommended!

Here's a fix to the analysis. GG adds one caravan to the wonder. With two $11 IPRBs, Civvium finishes a caravan in 6t, with travel time of 5t. Then Cops finishes in 12 turns. :goodjob: (GG wouldn't finish a second caravan that soon.)
