In the world of tomorrow!!
Past threads told us of what your nockname means and how you got it. This one is on what nickname did you have in school, work, etc that you liked and/or hated.

At work I had names such as....
  • Happy - (sarcasm 'cause I was always serious) hated it
  • Deisel - ?? OK
  • Spiderman - good climber at construction site
  • Onion - School kids can be so mean
  • Freightmonkey (Fr8monkey) - got at last job as a joke. Love it

How about you. Got any good stories?

Saddam Hussein, believe it or not. A post gulf war extrapolation from my first name that originated from the fact that I always looked bloody miserable at school and developed from there. :crazyeye:

i get called Bad Apple ( or sometimes B.A Games) because in school i dont do much homework so someone started saying BAAAd Adam , but he said it wrong one time.
it really pisses me off

I was called "shakespeare" sometimes, because some other kid saw me reading a really thick book (he though it was the collected works , actually it was The mutiny on the Bounty .

Casper was orginally given to me by underclassmen when I was a Junior because they couldn't remember my last name (I went to a voc school so I had to teach the freshmen what to do). Years later it was given to me again by my boss without any knowledge of the past nickname. Now I'm called it all the time by everyone.

:rotfl:
hey phillip, how many people you hit in the face after they called you that
;)

mine actually had no meaning: Talalan
(now that I think of it, it sounds like taliban :hmm: )

my nickname was kmad in high school
some people I don't know called me "Guy's friend" cause they knew my best friend, and he looks like "guy" from Undergrads..

Eons ago, when I was growing up, ;) I was called "Middle Z"

My last name starts with Z, and two of my brothers were in school at about the same time: one older, and one younger. So we were "Big Z", Middle Z", and "Little Z"

If my brothers weren't around, then I was just "Z".

Years later, when I was a Lieutenant Munitions Maintenance Officer for the USAF, I was called "Light Z" occasionally by my troops. This because my correct title was "Lt. Z....". And anyone in the military knows that Lt. is pronounced "Light", as in, "Light Colonel" for Lt. Col. ;)

Jethro is a nickname some people use for me. My parents used to (and still sometimes) call me Jet or Jetty. I really hate that.

My rl name is Jeff.

DJ... because I was the boss of the student radio for three years and I use to spin music in party.

This because my correct title was "Lt. Z....". And anyone in the military knows that Lt. is pronounced "Light", as in, "Light Colonel" for Lt. Col.

When I was in the AF; we used to call them 'Phone Looies' and 'Phone Colonels' because the Lt. Col. in the office would answer the phone as "This is Col. Smith"

I've really never had a nickname, when I think about it. My parents say they called me "The Glue" and "The Diplomat" when i was very little, because I stopped fights, but I don't remember any of that. At school, most people just call me my first name, Conor, because its short. Occaisonally people call me Con, but that's rare.

when I was a kid, I remember about a guy who had 15 nicknames
and all of them very disgusting like "sopipa" (blacker than a tire) or maclovious, microbio and the most popular Rennee
for Re-negro

the funniest thing was that his real name was Macarius :lol:

No nicknames, except what my girlfriend calls me. :p :)
