None Shall Pass 2 [Game Thread - Concluded]

That was abit anticlimatic. If I understand it correctly, town effectively couldn't lose after night 4 and it was just a matter of if the other 2 teams could win together with town.

Small comfort to those of us who had already been murdered by Jedi and their collaborators. :p

We should have lynched all of the SW when we could! :gripe:

Snerk, trusting the Jedi even when he knew they had to kill his LOTR peers
For those still interested, I didn't know about their vengeance scheme. When it became apparent that something anti-townish was going on in the order, my strategy changed respectively.

Well, technically, you guys could have lost if every single one of your members died, but that was extremely unlikely.

Problem is, I don't think a universe that's too "realistic" would really fit. Having characters from Breaking Bad or something would seem a bit jarring and weird.

Yes, of course.I was thinking about something like:
1. invasion of Olympic gods
or 2. (even better) invasion from Christian/Jewish mythology (maybe characters from Stairway to Heaven or Road to Hell mafia?)
3. some horror characters, I mean like Cenobites from Hellraiser (they are not too realistic IMO, and have significally different feel than the two universes used already)
4. or maybe something from pulp fiction, like you suggested - Avengers, Spiderman, Batman, so on
5. or from some toons - maybe Sponge Bob? (but I will not like it as much as other examples)

Of course, it is also possible to mix 10 universes at one time, but I will strongly prefer including one new, like for example this:
Act Three. Lucifer is coming to Middle-Earth

Your bitterness is completely right, though, there were a lot of anti-town townies, especially christos and Takhisis.
You yourself weren't even a townie, so my indignation at you is completely righteous.

The Valar sending out Elves and Maiar to fight off these stupid newcomers from outer space would be a good one.

Yes, thats also interesting.

I also forget to mention that I like Discworld proposal too

You're mad at me for not acting like a townie when I wasn't one? :p

Christos, if your still following this thread, I'm curious: Why did you accuse me? Was it merely because I voted for you, or did you have some other purpose in mind?

Because you voted me. I wanted to take revenge plus I wanted to be seen as doing something instead of following the river. :D:D:D

That shouldn't surprise me, but it does.

Also, when I was proved correct about Spaceman (at least partly), I tried to use this in order to become a sort of leader in the town and direct the lynchings. The lynching of Samsniped was used by me to test my power, but it failed and I was lynched instead.

So, in other words, playing against your designated faction simply because you felt like it. That's a great way not to endear yourself to other Mafia players.

"Let's use you as an unwilling test subject cause I wanna see if I can have power even though I have no proof!"

K. That's definitely cool.

:crazyeye:

WHAT?!?!

This is otherwise known as "liars get lynched".

I wanted to become the supreme leader of town. If I had been lucky a second time (first time I was lucky with Spaceman being Empire), I might have succeeded and everyone would vote according to my wishes. :mwaha:

But my plans were ruined! :wallbash:

Zack clearly spent a huge amount of time designing and hosting this game to make a good experience for his players. You, meanwhile, decided to ruin the game for at least two of those players, and to try and spoil Zack's carefully-balanced set-up, for no reason other than that you wanted to be the centre of attention. In all my years playing mafia, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite so pathetic.

So... the height of your ambitions in life was to be supreme overlord of a crumbling, dying and thoroughly mislead town (for a night or two, after which you would have been nightkilled if people really thought you were a scanner) and thus lead your faction to defeat?

You make Emperor Palpatine seem reasonable...
