NotW LVII - Tempus Fugit (game thread)

I think I understand why you make that call. If I forget what I know, then I might be beside you voicing the same concerns. But as it is, that not the case.

Sprig was way obvious before this which is why I said that the discussion about Dicetosser was AIDS and asked people to change the subject repeatedly.

Sprig had obviously scanned Dicetosser innocent. I have no idea why neither of them were protected and I was.

Sorry I didn't notice that.

Another note: I'm inclining towards hunting mafia with the power rather than protecting town, because reasons.

My other use, however, did not work. The one on you allegedly did. Why do you think this is?

Perhaps captain bus driver/"lightening rod" who thought Dice was suspicious had something to do with it. Perhaps he pulled protection off of dice so dice could get murdered.

I don't know how his power allegedly works, but that's the first explanation I can see.

Because I don't buy that a villager even paying the slightest bit of attention to the game could ever think Dice was still even a suspect by EOD2.

Well now you know what I do, and that I can't have been killing or blocking or bus driving anyone.

Might as well keep doing it to me since our seer and his peek are dead.

How is confirmation of a day ability clear you of doing anything nefarious at night?

All PMs relating to Night Two have now been sent. My apologies for the delay.

I know, I know....

I'm not in a good frame of mind to think constructively atm

I'm not at all trying to second-guess decisions that we can't go back in time and fix.

I just am super frustrated that the seer and his peek were both outed and neither was covered. That's just village being village.

I'll be in a better frame of mind when I come back. But, I would like to hear good news from our watcher today.

One of our roles needed to pull through last night.

I mean, looking back at the last notw he hosted, there were people with both day and night abilities, scum included.

I've been totally blocked the past two nights.

I used my power to double the powers of the town jailkeeper by day.

This is the wrong tree, Zack.

Jesus Christ, I am not accusing you or declaring suspicion. It's annoying when you respond to every little thing like this, I am not barking up your tree, I am noting that Cuth confirming your day ability does not clear you in any way, because it doesn't.

I'm also confused on why you would want the jailkeeper to target Sprig?

Because Sprig outed himself for no reason yesterday.

Protecting him is still better than losing him outright.

I guess, but jailkeeping makes him vanilla and nullifies his usefulness. I understand why Cuth would jailkeep you and not Sprig, but I don't understand why he wouldn't also target dice.

Or Kennigit, for that matter, who is probably the towniest person in here and is vanilla atm anyways.

He's still useful as a claimed seer / townie with a vote with knowledge of another townie's alignment.

Essentially a entire mason team's value, minimum, even while jailkeep protected.

Jailkeeper also doesn't need to protect him every night. The seer will try to keep seeing every night. When the protection is down, he gets a peek.

His usefulness is far from null if he's jailkept even as the seer.

He and Dice should have been the 2 protections always.

Just because its obvious to you, it doesn't mean its obvious to everyone.

I have no reason whatsoever to believe my ability affects anyone other than who I target. And its a massive stretch to believe it does based on the evidence in thread.

Now if I had targeted Cuth and pulled his ability to me, yes, blame me for deaths. But for drawing someones ability to me means I also draw any protection or roleblock on them? Are you really suggesting that?

Captain Hindsight here

I'll be back tomorrow afternoon/night to mull things more

Specifically whether Mat was responsible for pulling protection off of dice, or if that's a different power, because there's no reason for mat to claim that.

Okay, I see your point. Now we can move on to more productive discussion.

Just because its obvious to you, it doesn't mean its obvious to everyone.
I didn't realize it until his last post before my vote change, but by that point it seemed really obvious. It would be hard to miss unless you're just skimming and not fully reading the thread. (Though why he felt the need to hint at it so hard, idk.)

Can you explain your ability again? I am still kinda confused there.

Ask your game host.

It is possible that your actions have unintended consequences, or the host made a mistake.

Why I say this is because it has been suggested that some event so far this game had an outcome which was not as the game was designed, so double check and see if you didn't accidentally cause that effect.

I don't know, and I can't confirm that. But Arakhor can.
