With the first election of a unified America, several changes have been brought around. The former independence party; very strong in the Middle, South, and North of the country, has now turned into the Republican Party, which is very pro Russian. In the North East and West cost, the Democrats are the top dogs, who are more pro Britain. This has led to some very intense elections, with over 90% of the population voting.
Borden dies
With the death of Robert Borden, one of Canada’s most beloved Prime ministers, who helped Canada greatly increase in size with the purchase of Alaska, has left our earth. His successor, Meighen, has vowed to continue his predecessors work of banning the communist party, and generally improving Canada.

Haynes assassinated!
Once thought as the man who revolutionized the Western hemisphere, not even Thomas Haynes, President of the Confederate States of America for four years, and Lord Governor of America for 4 years, and President of the UCSA for 1 year, could stand up to a bullet. The assassins were confirmed to be communists, and without strong Democrat opposition, the Republican Frank Lowden sailed into office.

In London, a anarchist attempted to kill the British king. He fired 3 shots, one hitting one of his guards, the other missing completely. The British have linked him to the rioters in Scotland, who have gone on strike until Scotland is free from the British.

Austria destroyed
Their collapse was inevitable. The Emperors were greedy, the nobles taxed too much, and there was no national pride. As the German Emperor Wilhelm said “The Austrian Empire is no more than a collection of properties owned by the Habsburgs. Trying to strengthen his position, Charles had his heir marry the Russian princess Vera Romanov. The marriage was a success, and the Emperor was truly happy. Walking outside one day with the young couple, everything collapsed. Bang! The Austrian Emperor dies. Bang! The Austrian heir dies. Bang! The Austrian emperor is hit again, though it looks as if the bullet was intended for Vera. The assassins left in seconds and could not be traced at all. It took twenty four hours for Austria to begin to fall. Northern Italy immediately revolted, and joined the Italian Social Republic, while some northern regions joined Germany. Olga, seeing this, decided to plan. Gathering the five most important men in the country, she charmed them into supporting her. She summoned the Habsburg relatives to the throne room, where Olga sat, with the Council of Five with a choice: Submit or leave. In a few seconds, everyone in the room was bowing down to Olga. Sunni prison camps broke free, but they were hunted, and ended up becoming Albania with a Muslim King. The Austrian peoples joined Germany, and many areas rebelled. Olga then brought in the rest of the army, made them swear allegiance to her, and nearly all of Austria would now be submitting to her rule.

Byzantine Empire formed
Due to the collapse of the Habsburg Dynasty, and the already growing support for it, the Byzantine Empire has been created. Emperor Constantine, and his Russian wife, Empress Anna Romanov, have been crowned. April 8th, the day of the crowning, has been declared a national holiday, and has assured the minorities in Byzantium protection and equal rights.

With so much never ending war, the Dutch economy has taken a hit. Many Dutchmen feel it in their pockets, as heavy taxes for the war are taken from their pockets.

The African Wars of Independence
South Africa
The Black South African Republic, while having the support of the people, did not have the fire power. The Boer Republic, entering in an agreement with the British, crushed the rebels. Large amounts of territory were given to the Boers, and are now much stronger with these new gains.

With the British occupied in Egypt, the Somalia rebels have added a bit bigger of a chunk to their territory. The British have yet to respond to this.
Arabian Riots
The Lowland republic has declared another unpopular war. More and more taxes and wealth are being taken from the Arabians each day. They have revolted, and have kicked the Dutch and a small Brazilian force out. They have begun begging Empress Maria of Persia to take over the nation and save them from the Dutch.

Asian News Report
Vietnam War
The Lowland republic, eager to strengthen their position in Asia, has attacked the new Vietnamese Republic. The Dutch troops arrived in Saget, and took the city with ease. However, the Vietnamese are expert jungle fighters, and the Dutch suffered very high casualties for little advancement.

Communist movement weakened
In China, Mao Zedong’s communist guerillas have taken a sharp turn southward. A Joint American-Russian expeditionary force has crushed the rebellion, and in the process, killed Mao Zedong. The communists are no longer a serious threat in Imperial China, and this has made more people support America’s Republican Party, which in this operation, Americans worked closely with the Russians, making the people grow closer together. However, Republican China’s president Chiang Kai-Shek has become worried with the minor rebellions caused by the communists.
