The Netherlands also has the pleasure of announcing a formal treaty between the Netherlands and Belgium.

Treaty of Brussels

Article 1: The royal crowns of both the Netherlands and Belgium shall be merged into a dual crown system.

Article 2: The government will be a constitutional monarchy, with the head executive powers in the hands of Queen Wilhelmina, while the legislative branch shall be in the hands of Charles Beerenbrouck, current Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

Article 3: The armies/navies of the Netherlands and Belgium will be merged into one, under the leadership of Queen Wilhelmina and their economies shall also be merged.

Article 4: The new kingdom will be named the Kingdom of the Lowlands.

Article 5: The Netherlands will currently assume primary responsibility for Belgium's debt from the war with France and shall handle all foreign policies pertaining Belgium until the merger.

Article 6: The national language of our kingdom will be made Dutch, as the subjects of Belgium primarily speak Dutch anyhow.

Article 7: The Netherlands will assist Belgium in war against France in-case negotiations between the British and the French fail and will immediately send 2 IC to help rebuild Belgium's economy.

Article 8: King Leopold II of Belgium shall be made the consort of the Kingdom of the Lowlands.

Whoa! The British Crown still owns Belgium and will not approve any of the above terms unless we are in the talks as well.

Though Spain is lost, Belgium is still ours.

England still has claims to Belgium and the British will not be usurped by such a lowly nation like yourself.

Your historians recorded as such: "New kings of Belguim, Spain and Britain herself are crowned." Therefore, Great Britain and the Commonwealth cannot interfere with their unification.

We still hold claims to the throne as King Leopold II is our puppet. And no Belgium is not one of our commonwealths, but we still treat it as such since King Leopold II was so close to the Queen.

After a long meeting King George sends this letter to Belgium and the Netherlands:

Great Britain after a long delebiration has decided to grant this merger and wishes both rulers well.

Furthermore, Great Britain will petition to get you involved in our alliance.

Currently the two separate kingdoms of the Netherlands and Belgium are now officially merged, hereby dubbed the Kingdom of the Lowlands.

The Kingdom of the Lowlands currently has no interests in joining the Commonwealth Alliance for the time being, but however, would accept a formal alliance between Britain and the Lowlands to bind the ties between us.

Queen Wilhelmina paced the royal corridors of Amsterdam palace and finally read the results of the British.

Finally.

Finally, for the first time since 1837, the country was united under it's rightful banner, that of Holland.

Now, Queen Wilhelmina trembled a bit and almost lost control of her emotions in-front of the apprehensive nobles.

She had fulfilled her ancestor's wishes.

But, she regained her composure and once again put on the stoic face of a European monarch and walked to take the train to Belgium, determined to connect to her new subjects and fellow countrymen.

Royal edict of Amsterdam and Brussels

Signed with the joint declaration between Queen Wilhelmina and King Leopold II

1.) The Kingdom of the Lowlands now decrees a universal religious tolerance for Catholics and all Protestant faiths.
2.) The Kingdom of the Lowlands retains it's official administrative capital to Amsterdam (for parliament), but the two royal monarchs shall reside in Brussels, Belgium.
3.) Jobs shall not be discriminated on by either race nor religion.
4.) Following the women's rights movement both here and abroad, the Kingdom of the Lowlands now grants full universal suffrage to all citizens of the kingdom for ALL elections.
