Very well, we will sell you the Philippines for 12 IC.

@Nuke, is Venezuela allied with any country?

The Kingdom of the Lowlands’ parliament has just passed two crucial bills.
The Colonial Integration Act
Article 1: All future territories purchased or conquered by the Kingdom of the Lowlands will be admitted as a major province into the kingdom.
Article 2: All men, women and children living on that territory will be admitted as Lowland citizens and shall be given all rights, as allowed for by the Socialist Domestic Bill.
Article 3: Regarding the status of Indonesia, all domestic companies in Indonesia will be given higher status than foreign companies, and thus fewer limitations.
Article 4: All foreign companies in Indonesia must pay a fine to operate there and their foreign goods shall be subjected to high tariffs.
Oil Domestic Act
Article 1: Arabia and Indonesia shall be immediately subjected to governmental oil companies. Oil deposits within those countries will be immediately taken over by the governmental oil companies.
Article 2: All oil deposits within the Kingdom of the Lowlands must be under Lowland government control.

We want to declare and highlight that we have no interest in propagandizing or participating in the Japanese-American War, and we want to make sure everyone knows that we remain neutral and peaceful.

I would like to re-enter the NES as a Bulgarian rebellion. Unless Austria still has a player. Then I’ll join as the Communist faction in Yugoslavia.

*Changes the pic to show Emperor's Palace in Tokyo flying the Union Jack.* :p

OOC: Shouldn't the capital be burning since Washington did see fighting?

I had a crater on the lawn but it didn't look very good

so I took the minimalist approach :p

"Good afternoon my dear. What is for dinner?" Said a man as he kissed his wife.
"Meatloaf. How was work at the railyard?"
"Busy as usual. You know I swear the Empire grows larger by the day, trains and goods just keep rolling in and shifting."
"Daddy, you are home!!" Two kids came running into the kitchen and hugged their father.
"Boys, how wonderful it is to see you! How was school?"
"Boring, we had a math test today."
"Oh, and pray tell you did well?"
"B+, daddy." George beamed.
"Great job son, here is 5 pounds as promised."
"And you Jimmy?"
"I got an A." Jimmy boasted.
"Congratulations, here is 7 pounds as promised."
Both boys run off to put their money away.
"Wash your hands, supper is ready!" The mother shouted after the boys.
"You know darling, Mr. Longbottom, the owner got us together and he proudly informed us that the London Railyard is the busiest and largest in the world! We see on average 250 trains a day."
"Wow!" Mary feigned interest.

John finally got up and headed to the living room where he picked up the newspaper and turned on the radio.
*music fills room*
"We interrupt this program to inform you that the Japanese have launched an attack on American ships and even invaded American soil! The British government has yet to reply. Now back to your program."
*music fills room again*
John looked at his wife and said, "We are at war."
Mary stopped washing the dishes and moved closer to the radio.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, King George is delivering an Ultimatium to the Emperor of Japan, we go live to our reporter in the area. 'Ladies and Gentlemen, today is a dark day for our empire. One of our commonwealths, the UCSA has been attacked and invaded by the Empire of Japan. Therefore I ask that the British people join me in declaring war on the Japanese Empire and bring justice back to the world. I told the Japanese ambassador before he left to give his Emperor Britains last message, 'You have made the biggest mistake of your pitiful life for Great Britain will not stop until the Union Jack flies over Tokyo!"

John sighed, "Well Mary, it appears I will be even later following todays events as the railyard will be filled with trains packed with supplies and soldiers for the frontlines." The boys came running back down the stairs all happy and carefree not knowing that Britain is sending men to their deaths in a nation a half a world away from them.

5 pounds could buy you a house back then...

The radio in Robert Borden's office crackled to life, after many years of intermittent reception. Startled, he looked up, across the room at the radio.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, King George is delivering an Ultimatum to the Emperor of Japan, we go live to our reporter in the area. 'Ladies and Gentlemen, today is a dark day for our empire. One of our commonwealths, the UCSA has been attacked and invaded by the Empire of Japan. Therefore I ask that the British people join me in declaring war on the Japanese Empire and bring justice back to the world. I told the Japanese ambassador before he left to give his Emperor Britain's last message, 'You have made the biggest mistake of your pitiful life for Great Britain will not stop until the Union Jack flies over Tokyo!"

Astonished, he dropped his fountain pen onto the desk. He moved to the pager, and called in his secretary.
"Anita, I need the Minister of National Defense and the Secretary of State for External Affairs in here immediately, we have a situation in London."

After several minutes of hurried clearing and tidying of his office, a loud knock came from the doors of his office.

"Come in, " he called, and the Minister of National Defense hurried in, followed by the Secretary of State for External Affairs.
"You wanted to see us, Sir?" Edward McDonald said.
"Gentlemen, sit. I have just heard, as many in this Nation would have, London, has just declared war on the Empire of Japan. We need to act immediately to aid our friends of the United Confederate States of America, and to honor the King of Great Britain. Edward, let the Military know to be on full alert, and the Troops will be moving out in one months time. Have the Navy dispatched to the coastline of Japanese held territory. We need to act, as if the USCA is damaged, then we will be too. We must let them know that we, and the rest of the Commonwealth cannot stand for such debauchery and treachery. We, along with our Commonwealth Allies will crush this bug that threatens this Continent. William, we need to change our disposition towards the Japanese, and fast. We need to have our Foreign Policy reflect that of Britain's, insofar as a shift away from Japanese Friendship, and towards that of viewing the Japanese as an Enemy of Canada, Britain and the Commonwealth."

"Sir, the Royal Armed Forces of Canada shall be notified immediately," replied Edward McDonald, Minister for Defense replied.

"Certainly Sir, I shall be sending a telegram to London to notify Westminster of our actions, and the best possible course of action to take."

Edward McDonald and William King, the Minister of Defense and the Secretary of State for External Affairs, respectively, exited the office, leaving the Prime Minister to ponder this sudden turn of events.

In the background, the radio crackled after losing reception.
