4.) 5 battleships
5.) 3 battlecruisers
6.) 10 heavy cruisers
7.) 20 light cruisers

The fair Queen Maria II does this in the interest of world peace in a time when tensions are sparking in the world.

The Lowlands Republic will reject this treaty.

You cannot vote for yourselves: Give reasons, and you most vote to be nominated

The Lowlands Republic will vote for Thomas Haynes for

1. Unification of USA and CSA
2. Author of Haynes' Fourteen Points
3. Turning UCSA into one of major world powers
4. Passing many new progressive laws
5. Stopping 3 potential wars; advocate of peace
6. Hosting Restoration Conference

Re: Treaty of Rio de Janeiro

From: Ireland

Though this treaty is well-intentioned, we must reject this treaty as this is an unrealistic goal, bound to be forced onto poorer nations by circumstance and rejected by more powerful nations.

While we agree with the spirit of this treaty, it is nearly impossible to make this practical without global concensus, which is nigh-near impossible. Also, larger nations need much different armies than their smaller counterparts, and this treaty would deny them that necessary protection.

We are disappointed that Treaty of Rio de Janeiro has been unanimously rejected by many major nations of the world.

Surely, Austria does not 61 infantry divisions, or does the Lowlands need 18 battleships, nor does the UCSA need 14 armored divisions?

This excess in military forces is the root cause behind the aggressiveness of the major world powers.

The Kingdom of Spain votes for Thomas Haynes due to uniting the north and south and becoming a power

OOC: Vote Madrid!

The Lowlands Republic must point out the Brazilian's treaty's hypocrisy as Brazil has roughly 35 infantry divisions themselves, a higher number than the treaty.

you have to tell the Olympic committee why you should have it :p

Maybe I'll just take the most influential each turn, and give them an award, but you can try to persuade me to give it to your character :)

What do the Olympics/Person of the year do? Lets just say germanicus would really want it ;)

Presumably Brazil would be willing to disband.

The Boer Republic continues to support Berlin as an Olympic venue.

A new truck!? Oh please my lord, let me win.
